I like him a WR better than Safety, but he can play D also. I prefer him at WR more than any othe prospect on our radar except Agholor.

Recruiting is fascinating and at times so unpredictable. I would have never expected this kid to visit. Hope he has a great visit and both him and Poole flip. Anything is possible as most of us know.

Most of the same stuff that has already been said.

The only other time he has been outside the state was when he went to The Opening.

Chuck, who is his recruiter, didn't know he was going on the visit as of the time of this interview. We all know how he disliked kids looking...

He has a very impressive offer list. He's not up there in Rivals rankings, but his offer lists suggests that he's underrated.

I wonder how this will play out with Charlie on the other side of things. He's a great recruiter and has credibility when criticizing ND. I would be interested to see how he handles this situation.

Didn't this same question come up last year when we were recruiting a kid against Florida? I can't remember who, but it turned out Charlie had nothing but good to say about ND.

That sounds right. Remember, Weis is an alum of ND and was a fan of theirs. He also made bank here, so I don't think he's going to be bitter and negatively recruit against them.

Absolutely. And Chuck still has ties to South Bend and the area as well. Will he try to sway a kid to Florida over ND? Of course. But I'm with some of y'all above me-- I don't think he'll bad mouth ND to recruits.

IMHO--and I was absolutely wrong about the Shutt situation (not knowing that Armistead and others were legit targets)--I would take Payton and Pittman if Pittman or Brown were willing to slide over to DB if necessary, but things would start to get crowded.

We are really thin at RB/WR/CB/S. I think we all know the kid's natural positions, but in terms of needed depth, this would give us:

RB:
1. Mahone
WR:
1. Greenberry
2. Payton
3. Ferguson
DB:
1. Shephard
2. Darby
3. Poole
4. Turner
Hybrids:
1. Prosise
2. Baratti
3. Brown
4. Pittman
You could divide those last 4 kids a lot of ways depending on if Agholor, Marshall, or Russell came. You could also give Darby time at RB, though I don't think he wants it.

Not bad. i made one change though. Brown isn't a hybrid he is a WR. Greenberry reminds me of Greg Little. Greenberry could play WR, safety or LB.

no way would i want to lose greenberry as a WR...he is going to be great

They always list a recruit as a soft verbal if he starts to take visits while committed.

Florida was awful again yesterday. Of course that means UGA won which doesnt help our cause with K Marshall, but if the tradeoff for us not getting K Marshall is UF sucking and pushing Poole and Pittman our way, I will take it,

UGA winning doesn't help us get Marshall, but it may help us land Pittman and Poole.

Where are my Rivals guys at? Chris Nee has an update up on Pittman and it says we "impressed."
