I seriously can't wait until NSD gets here...

Not because of our class (which is great)

But because I look forward to this sh*tshow ending.

That way we can start focusing on practices, the B/G game, etc....

Say what?!! Once this 2012 shitshow is over it's on to the 2013 shitshow. This shitshow never ends.....NEVER!!

Heres the question that should be asked to recruits, and I'm sure that it has in one way fasion or form.

Look Uf, u$C, and blah blah has great weather, great looking people, and so on, however do want this experience for more than four years? With an ND degree, ND football experience, and ND alum you can have it for a life time if you wish. Four years is like fourty minutes compared to a lifetime of what Notre Dame has to offer. I speak from experience. If I listened to my parents, siblings, and friends I could have alleviated a lot of aggrevation in my life. Just my experiences. TIFWIW.

Might be your experience, could be all of our experiences. The fact is kids care about winning, kids care about getting the NFL kids care about high profile schools who are consistently in the NC hunt. Parents care about black graduation rates, parents care about level of your degree, parents care about the institution as a whole.

I got that, and yes you are right! Experiences are what is important. If you were given the chance to be sucsessful in one thing for a short moment or several things in the long run, which would you choose? I know that the spotlight in were kids want to be, however look at what happens to most kids who are in the spotlight for recruiting. It is not so good. IMHO!

ND will win and we all know it. When, where, and how is just a matter of time. Its not coincedence that there is more to offer from ND than other schools. Education, TV, Alumni, and the total ND experience.

Just putting it out there... what if the reason Standifer couldn't get an offer was because he didn't have a spot and the coaches used Spanish as the excuse. Meaning, Poole took Standifer's spot.

I think we would have taken both.. but then again, I'm not Brian Kelly.. your theory could be plausible

If he means this off season, then it has no implication as the off-season is summer and he is from Florida. Wait and be patient. We have a good shot.

Well, the girl he's talking to said something about how she likes "the ville" and she'll come visit him as well. Hopefully it doesn't mean anything? ...

Who is being referred to as Boobie Miles in this conversation?

Either way, Poole should take a look at the movie again. The Boobie Miles character in Friday Night Lights looked like he had nothing but NFL stardom in front of him. One devastating knee injury later, and not only was there no NFL, but no college at all. The character of Boobie Miles is a perfect example of why a prospect should consider a school like Notre Dame. A university that wont "cut" you through oversigning if you get injured. They will honor your scholarship and pay for a world class college degree that will take you far in life. With or without success on the football field.

Like 1% of college football players have a successful career in the NFL. No one thinks they are going to be Boobie Miles, until they are Boobie Miles.

lol all great points. He does bear a striking resemblance to Derek Luke in that movie though (which I'm sure is as far as he's thought of it).

Some try to keep the hype going as long as possible.

Yeah I could definitely see that but, in his case with soo many Gator fans questioning his commitment and him being adamant about going to UF throughout this process why not just say Gators if he wasn't considering ND, or another school?

Totally agree. Not to mention, he could have not let our coaching staff repeatingly visit him.

I am not saying that he'll flip, but Poole and his family have consistently been in contact with our staff. He took an official, and now he is "making a decision". I think he will end up a Gator, but to say that we aren't still in the hunt is ignoring the obvious.

According to #Gators commit Brian Poole, there's no truth to the rumors he's going to swap to Notre Dame on NSD.

Definitely a random tweet, but I just don't see him flipping to ND. It's gonna be a boring NSD for us, with FL and USC picking up a bunch of recruits (even though we already know said recruits are going to sign with them, they're still putting on the show to give their schools the publicity).

Still have some great talent coming in, and about a top 10-top 12 class in most services. Gotta win next year and continue to win consistently in order to consistently bring in top classes...
