What day this week? Would love to get him.
On Wednesday, Anthony Rabasa will head to Notre Dame for an unofficial visit. The linebacker from Christopher Columbus High School (Miami, Fla.) doesn’t have an official offer from the Irish, but is hoping to land one before he leaves town.
As previously noted by Birdman and NDinL.A.
7/27 Rabasa Will Take a Look at ND By Jeff Baumhower
According I deleted the (Offer) from the title of his thread and hope to have it back up soon.
Rabasa's story sounds a little like the ISD article on Danny Spondy. He grew up in the heart of another tema area, but was an Irish fan. The recruiting services have not taken the time to get to know him. I like our chances with Rabasa's. He seems like a good kid that loves football. That is exactly what Kelly looks for.
How do you know Rabasa grew up an Irish fan? That's the first I've heard that. I thought he was a Miami fan.
Rabasa talked about landing an offer from the hometown Hurricanes, a team he admittedly rooted for as a child, and affect it has on his family. “Miami’s offer I got it last week. My recruiting coach, Paul Gonnella, we were talking over Facebook and we ended up talking over the phone. I guess they love me down there and they are going to offer me and it should be at my house in a week or two. “Obviously, that’s the biggest offer, the most exciting one. Coming from Miami and growing up a Canes fan, it’s the biggest impact on my family and friends, everyone wants me to go play for Miami. That’s the coolest thing. Now I have the opportunity to actually go to this school and playball for them is another big thing for me.”

IrishFan33-I've known Anthony since he was about 6 years old,the kid was born to play football...
Where ever he goes he's gonna be a beast,Me and his dad have been putting ND in his head since he was a kid... Hopefully he chooses us over Da U....

Ready for word on this visit..... Pulllllleeeezzzzeeee!![]()
Per ISD he still plans on taking all 5 officials - so he isn't close to deciding yet...
And like TerryTate posted, Rivals says he wants to decided before his senior season - I guess we'll see who's right.....
I think his weight will packed on and he will fit in nicely at the weak side DE. Guys on that side do not need to be as big, 6'2" 6'3" is ok. Wujciak is 6'3" and you have to think he is also a WDE recruit. I feel the guys we are going after at OLB are French, Rodgers, and DePriest.
I don't think we will take more than one of those remaining four, though.
In a 4-3, sure. In the 3-4, the CAT backer fills the role of the WDE most of the time. French, Rodgers, and I. Williams are probably better fits for the DOG backer in this D, like Councell. Those guys may be better in space, but Rabasa is a great pass rusher. I don't think we will take more than one of those remaining four, though.
Yes! Thanks for the update! I think this kid is going to be real good...Just look at his offer list!Offered, per ISD.
LMAO!Rabasa and Calabrese, sounds like the Irish are picking up deli meat book ends. Gotta go make a sandwich now. Mmmm.
Apparently committed to ND (on domerdomain)
Columbus defensive end Anthony Rabasa didn't need more than
three days in South Bend, Indiana to realize he'd found the right
place to go to college.
Rabasa, a 6-3, 235-pound defensive end, told The Miami Herald
Friday he had committed to Notre Dame University. Rabasa, a first
team All-Dade selection last year, had 80 tackles and 10 sacks to
help Columbus win a district championship.
Rabasa is the second Columbus player this week to commit to a
major college. Wide receiver Tacoi Sumler recently committed to
Oregon.
"I got up here and immediately I was blown away by the
atmosphere up here,'' said Rabasa, who arrived at Notre Dame on
an official visit Wednesday. "I love it. We're by Chicago, a
great city like Miami and around here the people are all about
Notre Dame football.''
Rabasa said he visited Miami, Florida State and Florida. But
after his three days in Notre Dame, he said he probably would not
take his remaining visit.
Rabasa, a 3.0 student, said he was excited to play for new
Irish coach Brian Kelly, and a defensive scheme that will allow
him to broaden his skills on defense.
"This is it for me,'' Rabasa said. "They have a whole new
defense they're planning to run and it's going to be great
because it will allow me to be more than just a pass rusher. I
know this is the place where I want to be.''
