For your convenience, TMZ (which is the "news" outlet that originally threw shade on Fleming's heroism) has recently confirmed the story as true.

As you might have gathered from the Te'o HOF thread, I get angry when ND "fans" aren't willing to give our kids the benefit of the doubt. They deserve better than this from us.
