Right. Gino gets a lot of credit for the development of Desmond Ridder while at UC, deservedly so, but his stint as OC was not looked on favorably by the fans. His first, and only, year of calling plays was post Ridder and it wasn't very good.

It is really amazing how bad his offenses are when he is head coach. Just brutally awful. To answer your question though, he shouldn't.

Right, and the disparity in those four groups is pretty big. The difference between the ND O-Line and the Clemson D-Line is minimal. The difference between the ND D-Line and the Clemson O-Line is massive.
