The way it looked to me, there were a couple of plays where he was most likely the first option and those are the plays Sam got absolutely smashed by the Duke D-Line.

Just because Freeman isn't animated or clearly yelling at the refs doesn't mean he didn't have a conversation with them IF there was some illegal stuff coming from the Duke O-Line.

He did a good job of having an overly aggressive first clap that caused the ND D-Line to jump in the beginning. Seemed like we got that worked out fairly quickly.

I didn't notice during the game, but Duke had a different center on that last play where Cross caused the fumble.
