Especially for what ND will most likely be looking for. I don't see them looking for a multi-year player, not with Minchey and Carr being in the room. So, in order to get a one year guy, they are all going to come with baggage.
I’m not sure I agree that the B1G will want to react quickly. Reality is the entity that is the B1G is a business. Michigan is a $40 million asset if they make the playoffs. Does the B1G really want to jeopardize that?
Now, the schools of the B1G is a different conversation.
You are thinking too narrow...it's not to just recruit players from CA. The end of season game being played west of the Rockies each year gives the coaching staff a better opportunity to recruit the West Coast, not just CA.
Wow - just watch the guy. As soon as OSU gets out of their ready stances he is all over watching the OSU sideline and instantly seems to know what defensive play to call.
Right, but I have a hard time believing that, even though he paid for these tickets up front, he didn't get reimbursed in some way - hence the expense report...
I would be shocked if there isn't some sort of paper trail on these purchased tickets. This guy wasn't paying for these tickets out of his own pocket. His expense reports are gonna be an interesting read for somebody.
I think it would be a mistake to join a conference at this time. There is still a lot of instability in the conferences. hat is going to happen with the ACC? Are the SEC and B1G finished expanding? Will the PAC even exist? How does the new playoff format change conference alignment?
When...
Thought it was interesting that on the II pod this week all three of them said they don’t believe Freeman would hesitate to make a change at OC if he felt it was necessary.
O pretty much go into coordinator hires with this mentality. If they're good then a bigger job is coming there way, if they're bad then they'll get pushed out. I would be shocked if a coordinator made it past year three at ND.
It was Venables - probably still does it.
It's the reason Tommy didn't get our offense into their formations till very late in the count the year we beat them when Lawrence sat out.
