I watched a good portion of the UCLA (go bruins my dad would say) game,… their back appeared to have more early burst and acceleration than our guys but the holes were also MASSIVE,… yeah, if we have a bunch of stuffed at the line moments than we officially have a big problem

fans will call for Nolan James to be the starter for obvious reasons but he had 26 carries last night. With that in mind, could they start w/ AW before getting James in so as to limit his wear & tear?

Browne is probably the best, and most aggressive, passing QB we’ve faced since Heinstchel which isn’t a high bar but just the last time we played a pass first offense

D seems not better at all and roster is pretty devoid of talent. Last years WRs were better with Tuggle. RB is exactly just fine.

Wife and I are going over to go with our son. 2 guys hes friends with sold him their tickets in the student section for 25 each...lol. If its anything like the Penn State game 2 years ago I went with him to, the student section will be cleared out before halftime

The thing with Purdue is that if your offense is based on dropping back 30+ times a game then good luck to you. We have the pass rush to make your life hell and the secondary to turn mistakes into points. I fully plan on betting Purdue team total UNDER 14.5 when it becomes available on Draft Kings.

Well, I guess I’ll be pirating it again. Ever sense they went to a teared peacock pricing model I refuse to pay a premium for 1 or 2 games a year.

There’s a certain expectation out there that for our defense to be successful that the opponent isn’t allowed to have any positive plays. MSU isn’t Rice. They’ll be a solid B1G team this year.

Maybe. I think a lot of ND's SOS aspirations hinge on what Wisconsin and MSU do this week. Ideally one of MSU or Wisconsin win this week, and then they play each other. 2 4-2 teams half way through the season. I think Wisconsin can get to 8-4 with their schedule, but MSU is gonna struggle to get to a bowl if they don't beat Nebraska this week. Their 5 game stretch of Northwestern, UCLA, Michigan, Washington, Oregon is pretty brutal. 2-3 during that period would be a massive success.

A win by either would be huge. I’ll even take losses by single digits to be honest. Need Wisconsin to look above average not below average. Michigan state to look average not bad.

Purdue will put up more than 14 points against us I just think so because they like to take shots and we had some blown coverages against MSU. I think the score will end up being 48-21 something like that.

Purdue put up some big numbers against average defenses so far (both Wake and UCLA ranked in the 50s), but SP+ actually has their offense ranked in the same tier as MSU, just slightly ahead. No reason ND should be giving up more than 10-13 points again in this one, especially if PU is one dimensional.

Should be a breakout game for our OLine and backs. If not, then I agree it's something to officially worry about after a full third of the season.

Metrics suggest Purdue is improved despite 1-2 record and a really bad D. I'd expect this to be an easier win than Wisconsin/MSU but those of you expecting Rice 2.0 aren't going to get what you're hoping for.

Idk how many points Purdue scores.

But I'm just excited to play a team that is going to try and pass their way through the game. Should finally be a (somewhat level of) test for the DBs and Dline to show off some stuff.
