I'd really like one of our QBs to actually land at an organization that knows what the fuck they're doing. Maybe backup Mahomes for a year or two before getting the reigns.

Great story by Hansen on Denbrock. He'll be on the Mt. Rushmore of assistant coaches by the time he hangs it up.

Heck, worst case scenario if something ever happens to MF, I'd have full faith in Denbrock taking the reins, as a contingency.

Denbrock is more than a coach. Not only does he understand Notre Dame at it's core, he's just a phenominal human being.

Wisconsin defensive ranks the last 3 seasons. CJ was asked post game about them being in 2 high so much and apparently he said it’s just the way they play defense. Last night:

Opening drive of the second half was glorious. It was exactly what needed to happen. Really stepped on their necks and the pick six came coupled with it basically put the game down.

QB1 is the north star, and Faison looks like the reliable option in the passing game. 22 should be fine going forward.

The lack of a vertical passing threat could really be an issue down the line. How they continue to incorporate tight ends into the passing game should be interesting.

They have to at least try to take some shots down field. Hell, I don't care who we have, EVERY team tries to take shots downfield.

We tried twice and got a PI and the other shot was 12” too far. I think if we want to take the risk of throwing downfield we could succeed at it. We didn’t open the playbook at all. Excellent second half and first half riddled with bad luck and BS penalties. RBS are not game changers like last year. We did use our RBs a lot better than we did last year in the opener.

They made a change on the OL and dominated the second half. Nine different players caught passes.

Denbrock has forgotten more about football than everyone here actually knows. Pump the breaks a little bit. Plenty of new pieces getting moved into place, and they did it in an opener away from home against a Big Ten team.
