"An injury lawyer 'licking is his lips' right now when a former 'NFL' player hits a 'College' kid and he gets injured". - My neighbor who is a finance attorney brought that up last night while we were watching the GT/CO fiasco. He said signed or not, he has been 'Professionally' trained against an 'Amateur' athelete and it could stand a precedence in a court.
I would love a court to rule the distinction is meaningless in college football.
Adults over 28 are paid $$ to do a job, they are not amateurs.

LSU should agree under the condition that all players under court “permission” can’t play.

Chambliss sure as shit doesn’t belong in college this year either.

They can be added to the 105-man roster later in the season as long as they are currently enrolled at LSU. They will not play in the season opener on Saturday night. The Tigers have two remaining roster spots.

How is this true?

Last year, people half jokingly wanted ND to add a student/soccer player to kick PATs and they were not able to even consider it, as the roster was locked past a certain date.

Is it only locked if you’re at 105?

Yes, ND's was locked because they submitted a roster with the max amount of players. Per the II podcast Thursday.

According to Pete Thamel, the SEC is not expected to take such action, but the filing indicates the seriousness of the league as it attempts to affirm the legal right to enforce its own rules.

Scumbag coach. Scumbag program. Scumbag administration. Scumbag state.

I can't see them kicking them out.

I don't think that they ultimately get kicked out but they obviously aren't going to put themselves in a situation of having conference policy dictated by one member. So if LSU doesn't back down (and odds are that they will), I think they absolutely would proceed with removal. You don't win a game of chicken like this. We basically saw it play out with TT earlier where they ran their mouths and puffed their chests until it became a multi-state legal problem and then folded like a lawn chair.

cool story from Malzahn about the “Wildcat”. He was speaking at Little Rock Touchdown Club & shared this story. It’s become one of the better Touchdown Clubs in the nation. I’m impressed at some of the guests they’ve brought in.

LSU finalizing their roster by adding 2 players, but it's not the 2 NFL dudes. They won't play for the Tigahs.

Think this saga is done.

A few questions. I’m out of the loop on this one:

With the SEC meeting Thursday to vote, what precisely has Kiffin and LSU done wrong? Pete Thamel’s tweet says they didn’t put the two players on its roster.

Alabama recently played Charles Bediako. Bediako both signed a contract and played approximately 3 seasons in the NBA G-League. He played a handful of SEC league play games. How is that okay in this situation? How is he not a professional? Does SEC just not care about basketball like the B1G?

Has a team ever been booted from a conference?

If LSU gets the boot, where do they go? ACC? Big 12? Independence route?

Crazy times in that Shit Eating Conference

The conference was recently essentially told by a court of law in Louisiana that it cant make or enforce its own rules. They really just want to establish that they can.

I think that person is 100% serious. Don't know it for a fact, just know it's true.
No fucking way... That has to be a troll job. On the other hand, Louisiana.
-19 vote score on that post.

Quick scan of the last week of posts from the screenname makes me think they are dead serious. Nothing tongue in cheek or said with a metaphorical wink to be found.
