They would get an untimed down. The booth said there was a second left but the refs on the field are the ones that decided to look at it in the first place when it wasn’t that close to begin with and where on the review too.

This is nothing new, but it does suck that Michigan seems to always be the one benefiting off these crazy calls.
We were getting screwed by the Big Ten refs back in the Weis days just as badly as this.
Does everyone remember the phantom fifth down? There's just more technology tracking it now.


For those of you saying the NFL is better, then you must be a fan of the 4-5 teams that ALWAYS get the bullshit calls to go your way.

Yeah the NFL is just as bad. There are just fewer games. The Browns get jobbed multiple times per season.

I’ll never forget Duke Johnson standing holding the ball as the first chick ref called a fumble recovered by the other team. There are 20 examples like this just from the Browns.

No lead is safe if you're the Browns or Jets. It's just a matter of time before a "judgement" PI or holding call goes against you to change the momentum.

You watch your quarterback get his shit pushed back in on every drive. Hammered into the ground, punched in the face, hit below the knees without a single call just to watch the ref throw a roughing flag for bumping the other qb a second late.

Then once the game is basically over, you'll get a few meaningless make up call to make the flags appear more even to the stat watchers.

Cheating is a horrible look. They cheat, and they whine when no one believes their BS.
It does not matter who is the coach.
Another reason, if another was ever needed, to never - ever - ever play Michigan again.

Ok all, I’m still pissed about the BS last night but this is the one post I’ve been seeing that I’m not sure is legit or not??
“the rule is that if the first person to touch the ball, was out of bounds, then the play gets redone with 1 second.” Is that what anyone else has seen & is that even legit a rule?

Yup, I thought the same. Gave Indiana vibes in 2020 during COVID when OSU did NOT meet the minimum game requirements to play in the B1G championship and Indiana should have gone as the East champion rep, but instead they backed out to pave the way for the B1G to rewrite their own rules to get OSU to the championship instead. The IU statement at the time felt gross and very much the same, I couldn't fathom how a team like Indiana, who:
1. Hadn't ever played in the B1G championship game and
2. Hadn't even BEEN a B1G champion since 1967
...and yet they turned down the opportunity for both by letting big brother take their spot instead despite the rules clearing stating OSU didn't qualify. Little brother wanted to keep getting that big conference money.

The NBC clock and the stadium clock were perfectly in sync at the 35 second mark when we kicked the field goal. Posted the video earlier.

Even in the statement they were forced to make by their business partner, NBC refused to take blame. In the highlight shown, they clearly stated that it wasn’t their clock, but the stadium clock it was being synched with.
Even in Western Michigan’s forced statement, they said if there was an appeals process they would be appealing.
Josh Pate and Chris Vannini both have come out and talked to officials, not one official takes the side of a second should have been added.
As for the evidence of it not being wrong doing on the big 10’s part? They said they have a secret special clock that is the actual official time, so just trust us.

Scrolling on Labor Day I saw this. Heather Dinich’s explanation is ESPN/college football toe the comment line clown 🤡 stuff. The yellow line video line delay. “The technology is the thing here” WTF is going on here. 🤷🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

Hey man, relax.

As a viewer/coach/player, if the ref says “reset the game clock to 9 seconds” you rightfully assume it’s 9 seconds and there’s no secret clock that is 10 seconds. You would also assume if there is another secret, official clock, it was also reset to 9 seconds.

You’ll never convince me that the explanation given has any common sense argument to it.

It seems obvious the concept of syncing various clocks is over your head, so I'm afraid I can't help you, and I have no need to convince you of anything.
