Saw a good point on On3 board. This defense went up against Taylen Green with Bobby Petrino calling plays last year. Joseph is a good athlete, Green is physical freak. And they bottled that mf up. This team knows dual threat QBs

Great point. When the back 5 covers like ND's does, it allows you to use Ausberry, KVA or Sneed as a spy. they're gonna use that elite athleticism smother qb runs.

The only concern in defense is the tackling. It usually starts badly and improves as the season goes on. Hopefully they tackle well from the get go.

So, the spread and O/U are; ND 20.5 favorite with O/U 47.5... the prediction from Vegas is ND is going to win 37-10-ish. Although I would would be very happy with that, I believe that is a fairly low spread based on the Wisconsin O/Line and offense. I do not believe the offense for Wisconsin will be on the field long enough to keep the Irish from scoring at minimum 45+ points.

Is it just me or is it 'first game/away' predictions for ND from Vegas?

As a fan, I can convince myself of all the outcomes:

48 - 21
24 - 17
49 - 13
17 - 9

If I wanted to get imaginative, I could dream up scenarios where we lose although that requires the offense sputtering all game, turnovers after the few sustained drives we can muster, special teams miscues and an underperforming defense.

I'm rather anxious to see this team play.
