I never thought that any thoughtful reader could be dense enough to miss the central issue here.

1. Trump is President of the US. He is supposed to be thoughtful about the people.
2. His thoughtfulness should include thinking about what his actions do before taking them.
3. He does not need to attend this game. In fact he has not been a Knicks fan all season; the opposite if anything.
4. His attendance is an entertainment op not a fan thing. But it DOES hamper the fans wanting to celebrate.
5. A normal "servant-of-the-people" would think about them rather than about self-centered shallow desires.
6. He does not think about them; but rather his own desires. This seems to fit an overt pattern and is not admirable.
7. If he had a true politician's outlook, rather than an egocentrist's, he would announce that he realizes that his presence would disturb the fans ability to enjoy the pre-game experience and wish the Knicks, Spurs, and all the fans a great good time. But his ego-engulfed worldoutlook prevents him from being even that aware.

Presidents attend sporting events. He's gotten good receptions from UFC and football games in the past. This is one of the biggest nothing burgers in the history of nothing burgers, Iran is right there and ya'll are getting distracted! :laugh:

He's also a life long pedophile (come on, you know it's true ;)). I remember he also was booed I believe at an RFK Stadium commanders game. At this point, I'm sure there a lot of NY-ers who despise him and what he stands for.

I will give him credit that he's unfazed and probably figures he'll have the last laugh when the NG troop columns roll into the City during the mid-terms -- Amirite?

lol more New Yorkers are getting inconvenienced by this than literally 90% of the fringe cultural war shit MAGA promotes. The 18 random trans athletes in division 4 basketball that broke their brains. The handful of cases of election fraud (strangely committed by Republicans) that requires weekly discussions on how to bring that from counting on two hands to just one hand.

Spencer Pratt getting cheated out of California is like if AOC ran in Alabama and Dems thought she was losing because of fraud LOL.

People like sports and strangely enough the very people who don’t want politics in sports somehow…..don’t have an issue here. Rush Limbaugh dying really left them without a tether.

It is absolutely a nothing burger, it's just such a perfect encapsulation of everything Trump is. He's a narcissistic asshole that doesn't care about anyone or any thing that doesn't directly benefit him. Even from a pragmatic standpoint, he's as unpopular as he's ever been. When you see everyone upset, the watch parties being canceled, fans being told to arrive hours earlier and disrupting their plans, why not just take the easy W?

Put out a statement saying "After seeing the disruption my attendance may cause I've chosen to instead cheer on the Knicks from the White House. I want to ensure that all my fellow Knick fans are able to enjoy and celebrate this historic game! Go Knicks!"

He doesn't have it in him. He doesn't have a presidential bone in his body. I'm sure he loved getting booed. He hates all those people in the arena.

Yeah, maybe the pragmatist stays home, but the fan hasn't seen the Knicks play in the Finals in 27 years and they haven't won the whole thing since '73 when he was 27 years old. If I could easily go to a national championship game to see ND win the whole thing I'd 100% be there personally. You know too if he stayed home and just Tweeted support that people would use that as an excuse to call him a phony fan. They always want to blow Trump stuff out of proportion, people crying wolf just about every day just gets so tedious and it makes it less impactful when he does screw up.

The United States will be hitting Iran (Whose Navy, Air Force, Radar, Anti Aircraft, and all other forms of Defense, together with most of its offensive capability, are GONE!), VERY HARD TONIGHT. At some point in the not too distant future, we will be taking Kharg Island, and other oil infrastructure points, and assume total control of their Oil and Gas Markets, much like we have with Venezuela, which is working out brilliantly for both Venezuela and the United States of America. Supposedly the algae was in the residual supply lines, they expect it to clear up as the nanobubblers begin working. I have no idea if any of that is true or if it's all BS to save face. Meidas is gonna jump on any gotcha they can though, just like how they jump on young boys.

Yeah, it does take a minute for the pumps to catch up to the market. We've got $3.70 right now which is better than it was. Filling up with the $1 off fuel points makes it tolerable. Would have been better if my wife got the Santa Fe with the 35 mpg! We'll probably go to Erie for the 4th too, hopefully the price will come down by then.
