I never thought that any thoughtful reader could be dense enough to miss the central issue here.

1. Trump is President of the US. He is supposed to be thoughtful about the people.
2. His thoughtfulness should include thinking about what his actions do before taking them.
3. He does not need to attend this game. In fact he has not been a Knicks fan all season; the opposite if anything.
4. His attendance is an entertainment op not a fan thing. But it DOES hamper the fans wanting to celebrate.
5. A normal "servant-of-the-people" would think about them rather than about self-centered shallow desires.
6. He does not think about them; but rather his own desires. This seems to fit an overt pattern and is not admirable.
7. If he had a true politician's outlook, rather than an egocentrist's, he would announce that he realizes that his presence would disturb the fans ability to enjoy the pre-game experience and wish the Knicks, Spurs, and all the fans a great good time. But his ego-engulfed worldoutlook prevents him from being even that aware.

Yeah, maybe the pragmatist stays home, but the fan hasn't seen the Knicks play in the Finals in 27 years and they haven't won the whole thing since '73 when he was 27 years old. If I could easily go to a national championship game to see ND win the whole thing I'd 100% be there personally. You know too if he stayed home and just Tweeted support that people would use that as an excuse to call him a phony fan. They always want to blow Trump stuff out of proportion, people crying wolf just about every day just gets so tedious and it makes it less impactful when he does screw up.

Yeah, it does take a minute for the pumps to catch up to the market. We've got $3.70 right now which is better than it was. Filling up with the $1 off fuel points makes it tolerable. Would have been better if my wife got the Santa Fe with the 35 mpg! We'll probably go to Erie for the 4th too, hopefully the price will come down by then.
