What is this guy's deal?

I looked it up. The next time ND plays Texas Tech it will be the first. Here's to it happening in the 2026 Playoff and ND puts an ass whipping on this guy.
Agreed. He’s tripling down on it. And to passively-aggressively tell Freeman how much he loves Catholics &/or ND is chef’s kiss. Reminds me of Lee Corso picking against ND back in the day and then exclaiming he’s Catholic.

Between Pope Leo and Marcus Freeman, there are new sheriffs in town and I wouldn't go poking the bear.

I was gonna post this. There’s only a few schools that it could be
I've gone back and forth about whether we should schedule TT. That whole program/city just feels scummy, but they're a P4 team that made the CFP last year and we need some more strength in our schedule.

FWIW, ND is picking off some of the ones they've never played (Arkansas, Auburn, Kent State, Boise). Scheduling these shitkickers would make sense in that regard.

ND has 12 scheduled games next year, of which only BYU and 2 ACC opponents don't have dates yet. Hard to see them replacing Kent State 10 days after announcing it.

It's probably Oklahoma he's referencing. He's a pussy that doesn't actually want to play Texas or ND.

There's been talk that Georgia Tech might need to drop the game next year. Per this thread on reddit, the Rambling Wreck have too many scheduled for '27:

Doesn't sound like it's happening, but would LOVE to crush Texas Tech after the stupid shit their base was saying last season. They laid an egg in the playoff game. They turned the ball over almost TWICE as much as they punted. Their defense was pretty decent, but their offense was straight trash.

The GT website says our game is on October 2, which was just announced to be the date for the Kent State game. With 9 conference games and 4 out-of-conference games scheduled, I think this is a likely game to be moved. Either both the Stanford and Clemson games can count towards our 5-game ACC minimum, or we can play a sixth in one year following 2027. I would happily do that if it meant bolstering a weak 2027 schedule by adding a weaker GT to a strong 2028+ schedule.

maybe they need to enroll in a remedial math class and learn to count to 12.
The 4 OOC games Georgia Tech has scheduled (Tennessee, Hampton, Georgia, ND) + 9 ACC conference games (beginning in 2027) is 13. Unless the ACC has announced that ND games count towards the 9 conference game requirement they are fully implementing in 2027 or Georgia Tech is the lone ACC school playing 8 conference games. Per this ESPN article, there will be 1 team playing 8 games until they get back to an even number of teams.

The NCAA and the judges across this country are worthless. There is no point to have rules anymore.

"This court finds that applicant has demonstrated that he will suffer a probable, imminent, and irreparable injury if this court does not issue this temporary injunction because he will be unable to participate as a member of Texas Tech University's 2026 football team."

LOL

We find that this means he will be punished for his actions, which we can’t legally allow that??????

Ruling him eligible changes the fabric of sports gambling on the other hand……

Really gross stuff. This guy wouldn't be allowed in the NFL ever again if he did this while in the league.

Yikes.

and correct - his college football career is over and ruined; that's the point.

A court in Lubbock, TX can make this decision? Or Chambliss in Miss. I still don't get it.

Enough money and political pressure can get you out of basically anything... 'Murica!

If the NCAA appeals they have to go in front of the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals. All 4 judges are on the 7th Circuit are Texas Tech law school graduates.

I hope road fans drive Sorsby insane with the most creative, vitriolic chants possible at road games and every opposing coach refuses to shake Joey McGuire hand before and after games for playing him this season. The Playoff Committee should also leave them out of the playoff if they so much as slip up and lose 1 game this season. Punish the entire program should Texas Tech play him a down.
