Per II’s recruiting pod with Thomas and Loy:

-Davin Davidson texted Loy while on the show saying he probably won’t make it for a visit to ND. All signs point to Kamden Lopati.

-Tre Segarra and Isaiah Rodgers seem to be the two running backs battling for the second RB spot.

-Regarding Folorunsho, Loy was texted “he’s going to end up at Notre Dame”.

-Loy believes Notre Dame is the team to beat for Jackson Vaughn.

-Loy essentially made ND predictions for Jack McNamara and Phoenix Evans.

I was listening this morning. Eric Thomas was talking about how he loves Davidson and if he visits, he could be ND kid. A minute later Davidson texted Loy saying he isn't visiting. I laughed out loud. Curious what happens at RB2 spot IF the Oklahoma commit likes the visit.

Loy and Thomas seemed concerned with LB targets and I wouldn't say the review of Green and the IMG DE were overly optimistic. We need to secure OVs from both to give us a shot

I’m drawing a blank on who Green and the IMG DE are?

Realistically, the best shots at DE for ND don't involve Green or Forstall. Either of those guys would be a luxury, however, the names people ought to be focused on are the following....

Abraham Sesay
Mekai Brown
Aidan O'Neil
Ifeanyi Emedobi

If those guys start coming off the board for other schools I'd start to be concerned, but Forstall and Green were always examples of the staff big game hunting to see if they could hit a home run. ND is still on pace to get at least two top 100 caliber guys, and possibly takes Emodobi as the #3 guys that they build up as a bit of project. Dude has insane upside.

I'm still fairly solid with my class projection despite some changes. Obviously I won't get it perfect, but right now I have it...

QB: Kamden Lopati
RB: Tre Segarra
RB: Lathan Whisenton
WR: Julius Jones Jr
WR: Cade Cooper
WR: Julian Caldwell or Xavier Sabb
TE: Jaxon Dollar
TE: Cooper Terwilliger (if they take 2 TEs)
OL: James Halter
OL: Richie Flanigan
OL: Layton Von Brandt
OL: Cameron Wagner
DE: Abraham Sesay
DE: Mekai Brown or Aidan O'Neil
DE: Ifeanyi Emodobi
DT: Brayden Parks
DT: David Folorunso
LB: Amarri Irvin
LB: Noah Glover or Tate Wallace
CB: Xavier Hasan
CB: Ace Alston
S: Khalil Terry
S: Gavin Williams
S: Zayden Gamble or Tavares Harrington
LS: Sean Kraft

For those of us who haven't cracked the book on '27 yet, what sort of class composite score are we looking at if your projection happens?

This is a good breakdown. I feel like Forstall has a chance. It seems like he will have to choose what he wants and if that is ND. I have warmed up to Tre. More juice than I originally thought. Feel the same way I do with Simien as Forstall. Can't rule out Jackson Vaughn reclassifying either. With this projection, we would need a transfer LB imo. Love the WR class (especially if Sabb).

Are we still looking at Fakatou? Or has that ship sailed and we are focusing on Parks and Folorunshu?

I like Rogers a lot but I like Segarra better (and Keldrid Ben too). Interesting numbers game developing here at RB.

Christian from ISD said they’re expecting good news on the recruiting front very soon. Not specific on when but it is a name from junior day.

Christian is from Mass and has very good connections in Springfield for what it’s worth.

I feel like they have a chance with Forstall as well. What a luxury he's be. That said, ND can land an excellent edge class without him, which is refreshingly exciting.

I love the idea of Forstall because he can play some LB in 3 down pressure packages

Totally agree. That's one of the things I like about Emedobi as well. At 6"3+, he might cap out in the 240lb range, but he'd be a hell sub package hang defender that you can get creative with.

Both could do what MF tried to do with Foskey...and failed with lol
