I think I’ve answered that already. But I also think we need to define what you think a “Christian nation” is. If 90% of Americans identifying as Christian doesn’t define it as such what does for you?
I don’t think you did. Which decade? Sixty percent of the human body is water. Does that make you a jug? Are you forgetting or just ignoring the inconvenient truth that our sacred documents lay the foundations of the country explicitly separate church and state? Super weird take on a country that was founded on freedom of religion without exclusion.
I agree but not entirely.
So you aren’t entirely wrong. 🤷🏻
Christians don’t profess to be perfect. Where there is man there will always be evil. You can find Christian imperfections throughout the history of Christianity we are evil beings.
Using your religion as a get out of jail free card makes it seem like you missed the point somewhere along the line. When you know better, do better. An institutionalized pedo ring being protected by Christo-fascists in the seats of power strains the meaning of the world “perfect,” no? Nobody is asking for perfection, just stop using religion as a shield for purposeful evil.
I’ll refer you to the graph. I’m proud to be an American because of its people, values and beliefs. Being proud of your country and being proud of your government are two different things. I haven’t been proud of our government maybe ever and I work in the federal government.
Which people? White people? Christians?
What values, specifically, are you proud of in today’s society? Is it the treatment of the sick, the contempt of the poor, or the venom toward the stranger that you are most proud of?
So progress for you. Maybe that makes you a proud American is watching Arab Americans scream at the President. Different strokes/folks thing…
No need for adjectives. All Americans are Americans. Period.
Again… what will make you a proud American? Why be so angry and bitter because the government? Take a step back and enjoy America for its values and people. Your sucked too far into the CNN purple haired vortex of angry/hate. You’re giving reasons to hate then to love. You can’t be the party of love and also be the party of I hate my country.
I’m angry and bitter because of goofballs like you defending the indefensible and using words like Christian, patriot, and freedom to defend shitting on the rights of non-Christians and wiping your ass with the Constitution as Americans’ freedoms are being flushed away by in their own communities.
As to what would make me proud to be an American — when we actually focus our attention on fixing the real problems that exist instead of fearmongering to divide the country about its impending doom of a tranny reading “The Little Engine that Could” to students at a local library, or M&Ms being too woke and not slutty enough, that Mr. Potatoehead dropped the formal title, or a syrup company and a football team finally climbed out of the gutter and thought better of exploiting a racial stereotype as their mascot.
Let’s focus on doing something about the 14 Americans out of every 100 who don’t have access to healthcare, or feeding the hungry, housing the homeless — you know, like Jesus would do. That would fill me with pride, but we ain’t doing any of that woke shit so we might as well just stand up a paramilitary force and terrorize Americans to distract from the true evil in this country that funds all of this gross shit in the name of Christianity and values … GTFOOH.
