yeah he talked about it a bit on II podcast this week, there wasn't actual clarification whether he was in hospice yet or not but sounds like his health is failing alright

Apparently we just lost an assistant wide receivers coach named Dom Spalding. He's heading to MSU to join his brother.
Does anyone know anything about him? Is he up and coming? I'm sure MF and staff will find an able replacement.

Succinct compilation here. It's hard not to notice how many Carr highlights are to Rairdon, Fields, Pauling, Price, and Love. Can't help but feel that we are backsliding at all those positions for '26 (with maybe exception of Pauling to Greathouse), and temper some expectations for Carr's production accordingly

I see the opposite, he's only going to get better and those that are coming up are going to show out because of him.

Yeah , not implying bad decisions being bailed out. But the availability of good decisions had a lot to do with 2 real game breakers at running back to defend against, and security blanket of Fields and Rairdon presenting mismatches. We don't have those kind of proven commodities this year

It's true we lose five of our six most productive offensive skill players (Faison being the one returning), and they were all good, but except for Love and maybe Price none of them are so much better than what's coming up behind them. Turnover is a fact of life in college football. It'll be fine.

This happens nearly every year. The RBs are the big loss but it just opens opportunity for a loaded room. Same with TE and same with WR. We aren't relying on one guy to step up. There are lots of competitive options. Love & Price will be missed but we aren't putting out a 3rd string back.

I expect Carr to elevate everyone with a year of experience under his belt. Rather than spending all offseason competing for the starting spot, he'll be building confidence with the offense. I'm excited to see who emerges.

I’ll note that Price returning kicks will be tough to replace. I felt like he was going to house just about every kickoff he returned.
