I think it was a catch. He looked to control it and then when being driven out of bounds the defender knocked it loose. Helluva catch.
Oh he caught it but looked like he might have just barely stepped out before controlling it then came back in.

Elko not going for that is incredibly lame. You can’t kick a FG, if you don’t get it they are inside the 5 and you can even get a first down at the 1.5

“The nightmare continues for Mike Elko”. If it’s a nightmare for Elko, is it an eldritch horror for Cristobal? The Hurricane offense is doing nothing and their defense isn’t playing outstanding. If anything they’re lucky not to be losing by 2 possessions.

The fact that we lost to these teams is an indictment of the coaching staff, I'm afraid. Really, really bad.
Denbrock seemed scared to let CJ do anything the whole first half v Miami. I honestly had doubts about CJ right away v Miami because the game planning seemed to be one of an OC scared of his own QB and I thought Denbrocks gameplan was designed to protect against a bad QB. Could be one of the most confusing gameplans I have ever seen from a ND offense outside of BK Air Raid Hurricane offense.

These first two games make me so mad. ND would've rolled any of the four teams that have played so far. 🤬

He also didn't run the ball enough. MF needs to take control and order him to do that. Wasn't the hurricane air raid another Denbrock special? I don't remember.

Best case scenario for Criscobal. Playing awful and tied. Gut punch feeling dominating the stats and controlling the game and tied.

Google says Mike Sanford but Denbrock was heavily involved.

Oh, and never schedule the two toughest games as the first two on the schedule. I can't imagine that will happen again -it's very rare it happens at all, for ND or any team- but the athletic department should have taken active steps to avoid it. It was one of the long list of things that ruined the season.

Miami keeps snapping with 1 second left on the play-clock on key downs. Guy jumped the snap

Also...I think the committee needs to adjust the timing of the games ASAP.

The first round should've been last week. If Army/Navy insist on playing that weekend... by all means go ahead. Army and Navy both play Air Force during the regular season. I promise they'll survive if they do the same.

Teams who didn't pay in the conference championship game haven't played since Thanksgiving weekend. That's excessive. Moving it up also gets us a bit closer to playing quarterfinal games on campus by taking it further away from New Year's (bowl szn)

I get the bowls will be upset, but there is no reason to make teams/fans travel to neutral sites for three games. Frankly the semifinals should also be at home too, but that's a fight for another time.
