Those who don’t like Grubbs will find a reason to shit on the fact that he just led his team to a 7A state championship in Florida with a mediocre team. That championship run included multiple game winning throws as time expired.

Maybe he will never play at ND, maybe he will be a three year starter. Either way, congratulations to Noah and his team and welcome to ND.

I think Grubbs has a plenty strong arm.

The last throw only going about 45 yards in the air was likely due to the elements.

I’ve watched a fair amount of Grubbs this year and lack of arm strength is not a problem. I’ve seen him repeatedly be able to make “hole shots” down the sideline in cover 2 with relative ease. Earlier in the season his coach said that it’s taking the new receivers some time to learn to catch balls with the velocity that Grubbs puts on the ball.

The only area of concern that I have with Grubbs throwing is that I haven’t seen him making throws that require a lot of touch. Almost everything he throws is on a line. I just don’t know if he can drop it in the bucket on a deep sideline route against tight man coverage.

I think Grubbs is gonna be a great QB. If he’s got a great OL and protection he should be fine and he might have the best OL ND’s ever had blocking for him. Will black at LT, Grayson Mckeough at RT, Herron at Center , Augustine at Guard and Tyler Merrill at Guard

Kids a winner just put good players around him and ND should win plenty of football games, Georgia won a title with a walk on Q

I thought I was going to actually miss 2008. Thankfully FAN4LIFE2008-- a totally unrelated user-- picked up the torch

I will always just be totally worried about the completion % being under 60% for 4 straight years, until proven otherwise. Just a huge red flag for me that'll be interesting to see if it translates, but hoping it doesn't

No idea if he'll ever start at ND. Like every player, I hope he comes and does well

Maybe getting away from that qb coach and being coached by GG will bump that completion % by 5.
If he had Book's legs, I'd be on board.

I encourage everyone who questions Noah Grubbs arm strength or completion percentage or Grubbs ability as a QB to watch the linked video. It’s a lengthy discussion of everything Grubbs including spending close to half an hour with the Lake Mary Offensive Coordinator.

I was generally on the Grubbs train this year based upon the games I watched. After watching the video I’m fully on board.

His biggest critique is completion percentage. Last 4 games is (71/102) which is 69.6%

He has some real clunker games around 40, 50% that bring his season averages (what the services point towards) down. Would be curious to discern what happened in those games. Lot of throw aways or is he legitimately inaccurate for an entire game?
He had a few throw aways but for the most part it's a combo of being late on throws or just "wildly" forcing uncatchable balls down field in large parts of the game. He will follow up two games like that with a 65% performance where he seems to be im better sync with his receiving core and is alot more composed and relaxed without forcing the errant throws.

Starting to get Ian Book vibes here. He's not expected to be a factor and then will end up starting for 2-3 years
