Okay bro. So because we landed those commits we're going to land Isaac too? Apparently that's what you're telling me. If I say a kid isn't going to pick ND I'm being a pessimist? I think the distance factor bodes well for Michigan because I believe we are going to land Green and Elliot before Isaac makes a choice. I think that's being optimistic. Do I think Ty will come to ND with those two committed? No f'in way. I think most people on this board would predict Isaac heading to Michigan. Are they all pessimists? I'm as excited as anyone about this wave of commitments we just landed (verbally). Doesn't mean I think we're going to land everyone we're after and it doesn't make me a pessimist.

For you to think that him saying that he wants to stay closer to home and specifically mentions both ND and Michigan is only good news for Michigan is what I would refer to is a negative outlook, or pessimistic attitude. "(Good) for Michigan" didn't give me much detail on your outlook of Isaac's recruitment other than that you are essentially eliminating Notre Dame from contention. Now that you have gone further to detail your initial post, I understand it more clearly.

Let us just hope that we do indeed land 2 of Isaac, Elliott, and Green

Exactly what I was thinking, It's how he presented his comment that's why it is pessimistic....He never mentioned his reasoning behind it until he was called out and had to defend himself, if he simply said what he did in his second post then people would say "okay, that's understandable and a logical reason to believe that". Irishnuke, you can't blame anyone for calling you a pessimist for that comment. Like we all learned last cycle....You don't know what's going through these 17-18 year old KIDS heads, it changes every day.

Planning to visit USC next month. Scott Schrader on 247 thinks he may end his recruitment after that visit.

Sounds like he may be thinking USC on this one.

To be honest, I would rather have him end up at USC. I hate both teams, but Michigan fans are just too obnoxious for me.

"I took unofficial visits in March, when it worked out for my parents," he said. "Now my visits are out of the way. Nothing else is planned now. To be honest, I don't know if I will visit any more schools. Some have asked me to visit. But if I don't have any interest, I don't want to waste either side's time. If the schools I have visited, I'd be perfectly fine to go to either one of them."

However, he is sure of one thing at the moment. "I'm not a fan of the recruiting process at all. When I started, like everybody, I was excited. After you get the first couple of offers, you know you will have an opportunity to play at the next level. But now it gets overwhelming. It feels like it never stops," he said.

If he doesn't like the recruiting process that may work against USC as we all know how aggressive Kiffycakes and Fat EdO are.

The hot chicks, nice weather, and promise of immediate playing time might counter that.

This is way to quiet in Notre Dames eyes for it to be a 3 team race. Golden is right its really a two team race. My cousin goes to Joliet Catholic and what she hears is she is annoyed with the process and wont talk about it.

And the line of BS that he should play in a Pro-style offense to showcase his talents for the NFL. He would do just as well in a spread offense.
I think he is buying their BS.

It must be hard for her to watch this go on. Send my condolences. If you hear anything about Ty, feel free to give us an update.

Better USC than Michigan, USC will get a top prospect every year and this year it's Issac. Michigan doesn't usually get guys like Issac so better to keep that trend

I know everyone has been saying it, but I would much rather see him go to SCum than scUM.
