Definitely has the build of a solid OLB/DE... Great offer list, short, but powerhouses. Will be a tough pull out of LSU/Alabama. Hopefully he gives us a chance and visits. :)

So his rankings at various positions...

ATH - 1
OLB - 4
DE - 6 and 9, respectively

This guy is an athletic freak.

Who was the last great prospect we got out of Lousiana?? The last one I can think of was Stonebreaker, has there been anyone since?

Players from La may not have the chest for ND.

The last one I can remember is one we usually try to forget: Donald Dykes. Good player; bad judgment, getting wrapped up in that alleged rape incident about ten years ago.

It's still really early in his recruitment. He sounded pleased to get the offer in the mail but he hasn't even spoken to any of the coaches yet. Will call Cooks this weekend.

I can't imagine an elite prospect from Louisiana leaving the state, or the south for that matter.

Exactly. This is the only thing that gives me any hope with him. The way he described himself, as a DE who really wants to prove that he can come off the edge, play in space and drop in coverage at the next level, makes me think he would love our CAT spot. I know we aren't the only school that has a DE/OLB hybrid; I'm just saying it's good that we seem like a good football fit for him in terms of the position he'll play.

Arnaz Battle is from Shreveport.

Why wasn't BGIF all over this hours ago??? You're slippin', BGIF, you're slippin'.

This sounds like a "Kid's a stud. What the hell. See if there's any interest" kind of offer. But, once in a while those end up panning out.

Wow, thanks, I hadn't realized Arnez was from Shreveport. Damn, its still been over a decade since we landed a stud from Louisiana.....

If I'm the intern updating Notre Dame's website, I probably wouldn't create a "Class of 2013" profile for this kid...

You know how on signing day, Brian Kelly talks about the new signees and they have a graphic prepared for each kid with their height/weight/photo?

I'm saying those are probably made in advance of signing day and I wouldn't waste my time making one for this kid.

I'm saying it was nice of the staff to offer and they should have, but he's never coming to Notre Dame. That was just a fancy way of me saying that.

Kinda wory about academics here. I "THINK" I remember us talking about some other LA prospects and most dont have the language credits. Wonder if he does.

Color me surprised... I still dont think the line of "anything can happen if we just get him on campus" applies here. something special will probably have to happen. Like you guys have been saying, a top talent in LSU/Alabama territory on the defensive side of the ball is nigh impossible.

Guys the big picture here is that we are getting players That grow up in SEC land and getting them to take serious OV to ND. That is freakin awesome.

1 minute into his highlight and I was sold. If somehow we could steal this SEC talent I would be the happiest fan on earth. Kid is an absolute beast.
