I can attempt to translate...

"Gunner Kiel's gloves went hard as a mother****er today. Had the old 'stickem'."

Stick 'em was an adhesive like substance that was used on players gloves to help them catch the ball back in the day in the NFL possibly in college.

This makes me think that Gunner Kiel was catching balls very well (for a quarterback?).

I'm not sure this is any more clear.

I understand the tweet lol. He is apparently saying that Gunner was catching everything, but I don't know how he would know that, or why Gunner would be making catches that were tweet worthy by tre

Where do you think the staff seems him fitting in? Seems like he's a good athlete, and I love loading up on kids from the New Jersey private schools. Isn't there a running back in the '14 class from the same area, believe last name Peppers? And I think Bell is from the same high school as Savon Huggins if I remember correctly.

Either way, what I like the most is his enthusiasm towards the program. Sign em up.

And as for twitter, I wonder if they play madden online or something. No idea how they'd know each other, but it's interesting to say the least.

Is it a tweet from Shumate to Bell telling him about Gunner?

Gunner will make a Andrew Luckesque catch (one handed down the sidelines on a wheel route) at some point in his career is what Tre is trying to tell us. You guys need to read the tea leaves and not take anything for face value. This is twitter people, speculate.

In my experiences the quarterbacks always had some of the best hands on the team. They are much more familiar with the ball than anyone due to the time they spend with it in their hands.

Goodman is a good example. High school QB. Great hands.

You are right, Huggins was from St. Pete's; and Julian Peppers son plays in NJ and is a sought after recruit.

must have been a pure pocket passer that doesnt do well outside of it like Rees because he doesnt know how to use his legs for much after he gets the ball in his hands.

Funny that you mention that. Goodman was actually one of the top kick returners in Indiana. He was always taking returns to the house. The kid would take off and run a lot as a qb, too. It never translated well because he has long speed and no quickness. Also as a receiver he was never one to take contact. He was always a step out of bounds type guy. I didn't think his style of play would translate well on the college level...It's funny how different the high school game is from college.

Free: Bell Set For ND Jr. Day

Shumate is working him hard to come here.

“It’s going to come down to academics,” he said “I want to have a school that I can say I graduated from and be proud of it. The coaches, the coaching staff and tradition will also be pretty big.”

“I want to see how they interact with the players,” he said. “That’ll be pretty big.”

Nice! Hopefully this plays out to be a nice weekend.
