Being recruited by Denbrock. Tee Shepard is also from Fresno and Moore says he is the same type of Corner as him, Big and Physical. Hasn't chosen a major yet. Thinks he would fit well in ND defense.

Notre Dame football recruiting: Stanley a versatile lineman - southbendtribune.com

Another Fresno find?

Four-star cornerback L.J. Moore plays at the same high school — Fresno
(Calif.) Central East — where committed ND corner Tee Shepard played
before Shepard transferred. The 6-foot-1, 200-pound Moore also knows Irish wide receiver commit Deontay Greenberry, another Fresno standout.

And that could help the Irish.

“I talk to them a lot,” Moore said. “(Notre Dame is) always going to
be on my list since I have friends that go there.”

Notre Dame has not offered Moore, but he said the staff has been
recruiting him ‘pretty heavily.’ Moore said he talks to Irish
assistant Mike Denbrock, who recruits the West coast, at least everyother week.

Top 4 of UCLA, California, Notre Dame and Washington.

Not looking to make a decision anytime soon.

Quote from 247:
“Tee has always told me a lot of good things about them, and now that I have an offer from them, that could give them an edge because now I know someone else that is playing there,” said Moore.

like the quote, we should be in the race until the very end. I just hope we can finish it strong! "If you're not first, you're last!"

I was actually thinking about this. We offered lots of Fresno area guys this year who had immediate interest due to Tee. I wonder how Tee's situation affects us?

I'd say it all depends on the details of his situation.. if the rumors about his grades/working hard are true, that may lead people away who don't want to work hard.. if his grandmother passing is true as the reason he left, then Tee might always have a soft spot in his heart for ND and talk it up to his friends.. however, my opinion would be that it probably isn't good for us that Tee left

We need plenty of CBs in this class, this position (which means all recruits for this position) are probably top priority for ND right now...

Let's look at the CB offers we have out right now and our probability of landing them as of today (threw in a couple athletes/safeties that could play CB, might have missed a few):

Vernon Hargreves - (low)
Mackensie Alexander - (slighlty above low)
Cam Burrows- (OSU)
Kendall Fuller - (low)
Cole Luke- (low)
Rashawd Kinlaw- (decent)
Eli Woodard - (OSU)
Nick Washington - (UF)
Nadir Barnwell - (decent)
Priest Willis- (low)
John Johnson- (low)
Chris Hawkins- (slightly above low)
LJ Moore- (was decent now who knows)
Desmond Lawrence- (decent)
Tre Bell- (high)
Antwuan Davis- (low)
Maurice Smith- (low)
Devin Butler - (decent)

Time to get to work!

yea unfortunately, we are not too high on the list of the elite guys right now at the corner position...maybe if we can get out to a good start in 2012 that'll change, but right now it appears we're not in good shape with the elites in the secondary for the class of 2013

Quotes from LJ from BGI:

“They’re still the same school to me even though Tee’s not there anymore,” Moore said. “And he told me he liked it while he was there, so they’re still very high on my list and in my top four.”

“I know they need cornerbacks really bad, and with him leaving, that blows that job opportunity wide open. That’s going to be a huge factor in my decision in a positive way.”

Has talked to Tee but hasn't gotten the full story.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who asks these questions. Good to hear some answers.

I imagine he will be receiving many more calls from the coaches than usual now.

“@NDatRivals: RT @adamgorney: #Cal, #UCLA, #Washington and #NotreDame are favorites for Fresno Central East safety L.J. Moore.”

Notre Dame, UCLA, Washington, HOUSTON have offered

He gone.

But seriously, has Cal not offered? I don't like them being in the top 4 if they haven't even offered. And I imagine USC would be #5 if they displayed some strong interest.
