After some of our losses in previous years, I wouldnt rule out losing to anyone...thats why I hope they remember this when they do play Temple and use it as tackling fuel.

ND plays and wins against a favored team, it's a "trap game" in the view of the opponent and a "gritty example of determination and superiority" in the victor's eyes.

Keep it real and keep it low key. Bravado is a two way street. You win, you gloat. You lose, you equivocate. It's a damn game. The more you boast, pre-game, the more you stand to lose (in terms of bragging rights) should things go sour.

USF was a trap game and alot of people saw it as that. Penn state was terrible last year and we handled MD just like they did.

A trap game? It was Opening Day not the week after beating Southern Cal or Michigan. If there was a trap it was believing ND had two #1 QBs when it turned out there were two #2's.

PSU State was terrible? 9-4 with all losses to ranked teams with an INTERIM COACH. Sagarin, the AP, the Coaches Poll, AND Harris all had them at 31 or 32 in the Nation.

PSU finished at 6-2 in the Big 10 where the best record in conference play was 7-2.

Losses to #1 Alabama, #24 Nebraska, #11 Wisconsin, and #14 Houston .

Interesting, I simply made the point that Temple wasn't a creampuff. You, however, cranked it up a notch pointing out that we were as good as they were.

I have a friend who worked at Cray in its earlier days through its heydays. He invited me to join him for lunch there one day. This was not your ordinary corporate lunch room. There was a line with chefs taking orders that ranged from filet mignon to crepe suzettes to lobster bisque. I was intimidated by it all and asked for a cheeseburger and onion rings. Epic fail on my part.

I (and my partners in video production crime) were later awarded a contract to tape a company "info-session/promo" at their headquarters. We were warned that there might be some problems with "stray" electrical impulses carried through the power lines so we rented a generator to ensure a separate power source. Electromagnetic interference was a different beast and a pain in the arse. With a sh¡t load of scrambling we got clean video and audio, but we declined when offered to do it a second time. There were too many variables and too much aggravation.

I'm not sure it was ever posted because I personally just found out that Temple has joined the Big East in all sports as of 3/7/2012 (the day this thread was created). Football will leave the MAC and join starting this coming season and all other sports will follow by leaving the A10 and joining in 2013.

I also wonder what this does to UMASS (or the MAC) who was set to join the MAC as another football member to even the number of conference members.

Temple is a program on the rise however I think they have a limited ceiling for success. I like seeing temple do good. I like seeing Cody Booth break tackles, I tackled him in high school once.. although I think it was a facemask.. Oh well I like knowing I tackled a D1 athlete. Penalty or not can't take it away from me haha.
