Vontaze Burfict had a horrible combine and is projected as a 5th/6th round pick.... and he goes late first? smh....

Really like a lot of the other late first round picks though.

Burfict is falling, but not that far down the draft. I'm hearing 2nd or 3rd for him.

You know the Worthy pick was best of the bunch.

I heard either McShay or Kiper or some other ESPN guy talking about stock rising/stock dropping say that after his abysmal 40 time/combine he dropped from a ~3rd round pick to a ~5th/6th round pick on most boards because it showed an utter lack of work ethic and preparation.

Interesting...I heard either Kiper or McShay, I believe it was Kiper, that he still has him graded out as a second round pic. Because of his film from 2010 which was fantastic.

Sorry guys, I always get on my phone to go on IE... didnt see my PM.

The Colts select Reuben Randle

With Manning gone, Luck in... look for Reggie Wayne to leave too. The colts are gonna need a new playmaker to compliment Luck.

In the second round the Viqueens select Alfonzo Dennard DB Nebraska. Dennard provides a valuable tool for the Viqueens defense to utilize. He can play both as an island dwelling CB or as a run support free safety. Facing archival Green Bay twice a year whose offense is prone to going 4-5 wide. He has the ability to play off the line in man situations and as an over the middle hard hitting zone enforcer. Not the most fleet of foot as you want a primary CB to be, his strength, ferocity and off the line jamming ability can slow a receivers crucial first steps. His ability along side emerging CB Asher Allen can provide a valuable piece in an often torched for big yards Viqueens secondary.

The Bucs select Alshon Jeffrey, WR South Carolina. He was a big time play maker at the college level, and the Bucs need a reciever like that.

That's actually a really good pick for the Bucs, wasn't expecting that, but I like it.

The Browns select David Wilson, RB, Virginia Tech. Offense is the theme of the draft for the Browns. The Browns leading rusher last year had under 600 yards total. Hills was not franchised and will likely not resign with the Browns. Regardless, they need a shifty back to take pressure off whoever starts next year at qb. Wilson is the second best RB after Richardson in this draft

Would have taken Jeffrey here if he wasn't just picked

Given the Hillis situation, I think drafting Wilson here is a good move for the Browns.

Like this pick for the Browns. Think Wilson / Miller / Martin are all solid backs available in the late first / early second round.

No, there is going to be a Mock v2 starting up in a few weeks. The trades and Free agent signings will certainly factor into that one.

Indeed, and it will feel much better to say the Redskins select Robert Griffin III instead of having to grab the best available in a spot they would trade out of.

Jaquars have been on the clock a while. Need a pick to get this moving again.

Sanu is a good pick for the Jaquars. Gives them another option at the WR position.

Even though this all goes out the window with the trade today.... with the hypothetical Skins not drafting RGIII; Washington selects Stephen Hill, WR, Georgia Tech. Washington has big needs at CB and S that cannot be addressed by any of the players still on the board... so they will address those through free agency. Selecting the athletically gifted Hill, who should develop with Hankerson into two big targets outside at WR over time, ensures that whoever the Redskins have playing QB in the future will have some guys to throw to. Right now, outside of Hankerson the WR corp is largely guys in the twilight of their career or who have very limited upside/ability.

Lax, I should punch you in the nose! I have been waiting for over a dozen picks watching him get passed over. Just salivating at the thought of getting Hill in the 2nd when he is 1st round talent. I get 1 pick away, and you rip my heart out! Congrats on the pick.

Carolina will consider Brandon Thompson, the DT from Clemson here. They will consider Stephen Gilmore, the CB from So. Carolina here also. Finally, if Jeremy Shockey retires as is expected, they may look at Orson Charles, the talented TE from Ga. But the DUI arrest this week hurts him.

Carolina will select CB Stephen Gilmore to help a secondary who had trouble last year. Considered a late 1st round talent, the value is there, and the need is there.
