Also:

Texas, California, and Florida are up top in high school football but Ohio is right behind them.

And not just Cincinnati and Cleveland anymore, Dayton is pumping out really good football players every year now.

I don't understand how the guy wants to announce at the end of March/beginning of April if he doesn't know where he wants to go.

Either way, I would love it if Kelly snagged him away from Urban. Love it love it love it.

Call me a pessimist, but I think it's because he knows where he wants to go right now, unless he falls in love with another school on his visits. It seems like in all likelihood he will be pOSU IMO.

That's fine if Zaire commits to O$U because we're in pretty good shape with Aaron Bailey.

"I like Ohio State, Alabama, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Wisconsin."

Basically has non commitable offers from OSU and Bama until they see him work out in person. Was going to decide later this month but that has been pushed back until he visits the schools he is interested in. Still coming March 24th.

that is a tough list to compete with... This will be a pretty hard grab in my opinion. Thanks for the update GITF.

Dont mind going up against Wisco and Nebraska for this kid. Like GITF said his offers to OSU, Bama aren't commit able. Bama offer might be for an athlete and OSU is going to work out Chapman and Zaire for an offer. Also they really want JT Barrett.

It's not like we don't compete against those schools in recruiting every single year or anything...

Can anyone explain the concept of a non-committable offer to me? It sounds like an oxymoron. How is it an offer if the player can't accept it?

A contingency could certainly be that you have to visit to receive the offer, thus showing some real level of interest. Seems we've seen some of those floated out there.

Yes, and we have done so well recently against them in the recruiting department...

Kid is from Ohio, but I did forget about the non-committable offers though, so maybe not as tough as I originally thought.

From what I am hearing, Malik has Bama in the lead thus far. ND is in the mix if that uncommitable offer doesnt work out. I used to work with his dad.

Disregard what I said about Bama. All I will say for now is that Bama and tOSU are not in his top 4. Their biggest concern is getting a FAIR shot at QB, Malik will not change positions, he is a QB.

Thanks for stopping by our humble abode. Stay a while.

Quick question. We obviously hear this said from every Dual Threat QB, and I get it. But in your personal opinion, what would Ziare do if he was at a school for three years and it was obvious that he wasn't going to get his shot (by no means am I implying this would be the case at ND, just genuinely interested)? Would he:

1) Transfer
2) Stay on and hope for a miracle shot at QB
3) Play another position in order to help the team

The reason I ask has nothing to do with a belief of whether he will or will not make it as a QB, but rather just trying to gauge his thought process. Thanks.

According to them he is a QB and nothing else. He really likes ND and his only concern with ND is if he will get a fair shake at QB. In my personal opinion, which isnt based on too much except for a few conversations through social media, is that if he sees the writing on the wall that he wont get his shot at QB then he will go elsewhere.

Being from Ohio I assumed he was OSU's to lose but according to them he will not be a buckeye because they arent buying what Urby is selling. Also stated that Bama has some tricksters.

Top four in no order: Nebraska, Notre Dame, Pitt, Wisconsin...... decision MIGHT come in May.

and yes he is still coming this weekend!!
