There is the list for March 24. Who do you guys see possibly committing?

Best shots are probably McGovern, Elliott, Anzalone, and maybe Randolph. Mastrogiovanni if he gets a offer could

Christ Petersen was up there as far as "The Guy" 2-3 years ago.. I agree, people that hate on Kelly are fools.. but I also think people blindly loving him and saying he's great are jumping the gun a little bit.. I'm giving him a couple more years before I hate/love him.. he's my team's coach right now, and I support him, but it's too early to be in love with him IMO

Reps!

Philly or TT do u have any free articles or info as to why u think Mastrogiovanni
Could? I've seen nothing so I looked at his 247 profile and it had like 5 schools as warm, a&m as favorite and no ND

I think there was a II update on him. I really like his tape. We need two ILB in this class. My first choice besides Levenberry who is unrealistic would be Chans Cox.

I know this has been covered in many other threads, BUT without over signing, JUCO's, pulling scholarships of the injured and underperforming, lowering educational standards and walking over the 20 hour rule, changing the culture of a program will take time. I have no desire to see Notre Dame change any of this so we just need to realize that this is a process. It is easy for Saban to look like a genius signing 110 kids in four years and bringing in JUCO's to fill holes. I am asking anyone to name schools that do things the right way that are a better team than us. I will give you Stanford (for the time being). scUM has escaped us the last two years but I think we were/are the better team. Who else would you rate higher than us?

Texas, Oklahoma, Oregon, LSU, Michigan, Georgia and South Carolina would be a few.

I agree that changing the culture takes time. But ultimately, who's fault is it that the culture has been so bad for so long?

Please. Those are all state schools that don't give a sh** about anything other than football. Michigan and Texas' grad schools are the only reputable academic programs out of any of those schools.

Steve Wiltfong ‏ @SWiltfong247

@GoldenStorm Notre Dame is in good shape with a several prospects. I think you'll see some good things happen during spring practice.

Rivals staff has run several stories on him.

TJ said the staff wanted to size him up in person when he was on campus for Jr. Day.

Both felt he was an ND fit from a character standpoint.

Very interested in an ND offer

Yeah, all state schools care about is football.

Only schools like Notre Dame, Northwestern, Duke and Vanderbilt are real colleges.

Who is next? Whoever Michigan and Ohio State allows us to have.

LSU and South Carolina are notorious over signers, Nike U is in a bit of trouble for some of their recruiting practices as we speak. As I said Michigan has escaped us by the hair on their chin. Texas and Oklahoma are programs- would love to see their overall graduation rate and AA graduation rates. Don't forget these are supposed to be schools with football teams not football programs where you sometimes go to a class before practice. Georgia as of late hasn't been in any NCAA trouble also would love to see their graduation breakdown, also don't think they are any better a football team than we are. If so not by much. If you took my question seriously then the list you just gave me proves my point. I was asking sincerely not just for the sake of arguing.

Can someone kick this effin troll off already!! Here's the funny thing about the skunkbear fans who I personally know, they are giving me crap all of the time about how scUM and O$U are going to out recruit us every year. It's almost like a they think they're teaming up with Urban and rubbing it in our face is hurting our feelings. Get real. Michigan fans are so delusional right now, they're turning into suckeye fans. Have fun with 2 losses in the first month of the season and we will see how fast the recruiting momentum lasts. Lastly, I can't wait to see Hoke turn back on his "no visiting other schools rule." See you Wal-Mart wolverines September 22nd. This was obviously meant for RubberSOUL, or rather RubberTROLL.

It's us, OSU, and UF. OSU may have a slight lead but nothing we can't overcome.

Right, and I agree, but why would he be likely to commit on his visit? I didn't know he planned on announcing that soon.

You don't know what you're talking about. I hate Michigan.

But let's face it, Notre Dame is not very cool in these kids eyes. They are old, stagnant and uptight in these kids eyes. I love Notre Dame but I just don't think that they can compete with the big boys anymore.

Uh, I said that the state schools you mentioned are pretty much football schools. Nobody goes to South Carolina or Oklahoma to get a great education, and if they do, they're delusional.

Sorry, plain and simple you're wrong. Old, stagnant, uptight? Try visiting. Try listening to almost every recruit after visiting. The adjetives I usually hear are "amazing" "incredible" "unreal". Sorry, you're just misinformed.

Then maybe they just need to start winning big but it's been so long. Every year there is so much hype but in the end it's just same old Notre Dame.

A sure sign of a weak troll. The same ol' Notre Dame started with Davie, continued through Willingham and Weis and has ended with Kelly. It's not the new, dominant Notre Dame just yet but if you can't see the stark differences between this program and years past, you have surely proven your trollness.

First parts definitely true. We do have to start winning, but the program is headed in the right direction. But your prior statement about kids not liking ND is completely false, and in the end it is the same great Notre Dame, the place people take football pilgrimages to see. Come take a visit, and you'll see what almost every recruit talks about after leaving.

I wonder with Matsuka not committing, it means that we werent the clear-cut favorites we thought we were... I really thought he would give his verbal this weekend. Oh well, 11 months to go...
