Bone Bone Bone Bone, Bone Bone Bone Bone Bone.

Luke wants Notre Dame, Davonte wants Arizona. Both Kelly and RichRod called last night which muddied the waters. No clue how it will end or when it will end.

Thanks (I'd rep you but it won't let me).

Weird. I thought it was the other way around. His dad sure seemed high on ND.

So Luke's going to make his son attend the college Luke chooses for him? Wow. I knew he was playing a big role in his son's recruitment but this is ridiculous.

it was an analogy based off of the example you gave. If he doesnt care about others, then he is really not someone I want on the team, a no-show is the WORST possible thing to do, he should have stepped in and told everyone that he is having conflicts or something and that he is sorry for the inconvenience. The only excuse I will give him is if he had a family emergency, which is being reported...

A no show is not, imo, the worst possible thing to do. Showing up and choosing a school he is not sure he wants to attend, simply because kids are waiting on him to show up, would be the worst possible thing to do. You may be right that it would have been better to come in and apologize for delaying the decision, but I'm guessing he would have taken an ever larger ration of cr@p if he had done that.

And I am ok with that fact it's the man's choice to say that.
Just like it was the man's choice not to show up.
Morgan freely admitted that as a father it made him mad.
That Davonte had a responsibility to the kids to show up and say something.
He chose not to.
Any parent of any child in that school should be upset that the local hero stood those children up.

Thats terrible. I truly cannot believe that you don't see anything wrong with Morgan making comments like this.

Thats fine if everyone wants to be upset. And when the mic is off and the camera isn't on you, say what you want. But to take your small position of power that you have behind the mic and in front of the camera to take a shot at someone the way he did is classless, immature, and unprofessional.

I should add that is what was going around in the room at the announcement, not necessarily what happened. I guess it wouldn't surprise me if the recruiting guys were getting their info from 600 10 year olds, but I doubt anyone there really knows what was happening considering the Neals weren't there.

I have been cracking jokes, trying to make sense of whatever I just witnessed. Truthfully, I am embarrassed for the Neal family at this point. Today should have been a great day for them, and it turned out to be: "hey kids, your idol Devonte Neal is going to decide which college he is going to! (YAY) But instead, we are going to systematically place adorable puppies into a blender. (Wha?)

I think when it comes to following recruiting, I will just look on the front page of IE and wait for the "Offer" change to a school name. Getting too involved is bad for the heart.

I have to think that sadly, the kid wins out on this one. At least that's how it should be. Hopefully there's a lot more gray area, though and the kid isn't all for Arizona so his Dad's input will push us over the edge. I wonder who he was planning on announcing for today??

The Neals are at home, sitting around the dining room table, reading the paper, having a bowl of Lucky Charms, then Luke looks up and says "Was there someplace we were supposed to go this morning?"

Ok...forgive me if this has already been confirmed as I am very late to the party... but WOOOOOOOOW!!! This has been a truly crazy spectacle...However, I think it's just as likely that he's changed his mind about where he wants to be and that the school of his choosing (my guess ND) would catch him some major flack with the hometown crowd...All along hasn't Luke Neal been saying that the decision was ultimately his son's, and that he was just gonna guide him and help him sort through it all? I don't know...my brain hurts and I'm going to vegas tonight....with that, a funny picture to brighten your day!

But all this laughter, at the circus that this has become, is good for the soul!

Those 8 yos would have torn him to shreds if he didn't play for their beloved Wildcats!

RT @JasonScheer: I want to be clear. This isn't Davonte's fault. Davonte knows where he wants to go to school. if you want to rip somebody, it's not him

And I don't blame Davonte' one bit in all this...

Update from Sapp. Nothing new really; he sounds pretty much as confused as we are. The most interesting thing is that Luke Neal told BlueandGold.com last week that Davonte would go to school "out of state." Don't think that was previously reported. He is not reporting that Dad wants ND, son wants Zona, although he alludes to the rumors; apparently that remains speculation? Just says that as of last week Zona had apparently been eliminated. Still no clue what's going on.

I could have sworn that it was the other way around...
