well if stanford offered then it's safe to say academics are not an issue or problems with admissions...if we don't offer soon that means they're waiting, which could end up biting us in the end if he had a good visit to michigan.

Butt said that four other schools -- Ohio State, Notre Dame, Wisconsin and USC -- have told him that he's the No. 1 tight end on their respective boards.

One intriguing issue regarding Butt's situation is that Michigan got a verbal commitment from tight end Khalid Hill (6-3, 235) from Crockett Vocational Tech in Detroit on Feb. 6, according to various reports. Hill is one of three players to verbal to Michigan from the 2013 class.

Wisconsin also already has a tight end among its 2013 recruiting class in Scott Orndoff (6-5, 240) from Seton-Lasalle in Pittsburgh.

Ohio State, meanwhile, has locked up two players -- Middletown athlete Jalin Marshall and Trotwood-Madison cornerback Cameron Burrows

Not if he's coming to junior day. I have a very, very hard time believing he is our #1 TE target and not Breneman, the consensus top TE in the country.

247 is now grading him as a tight end instead of defensive end. As a result he moved to #9 TE and fell out of the Top 247. Still a 4 on both sides of the ball.
