Corey Robinson - Highlight Videos, Schedule & Roster - Hudl

Rivals.com Football Recruiting - Making Mr. Robinson proud

I was reading this article, and one other article on Sports Illustrated, and thought this kid could be the right fit for Notre Dame. Both stories talk about how studious and driven he is. He is a late bloomer, so that may be a reason Notre Dame is not looking at him. Another reason could be that he isn't that great. I have no idea because I have not seen any tape on him. I just thought this would be an interesting read. Enjoy.

I bet he is raw if he has only been playing for 2 years. But 6"4" and good hands it will be hard for him to not be good. If he can just mae a good effort he will be good. he could res shirt after working with a college WR coach and he will probably be 6'6" or better i will take that.

Definitely sounds like our kind of kid. His dad was a late bloomer too, as the article mentions. It'll be interesting to see how he develops over the next year.

he was at the Army all star game. They had a little clip about him and David was there.

I got to see Corey play this year against a team from Corpus Christi, they were undefeated at the time, and Corey dominated. He caught everything threw his way, and out ran the defense on multilple occasions. He had at least 3 TD's. He is definetly worth keeping an eye on.

playing the percentages...but if I had to decide now based on info we know...I'd bet on him being elite.

1) He is 16...he'll likely trim his 40 speed by a tenth, grow an inch, significantly improve agility, and add mass. Who wouldn't want a 6'5" 215 lb receiver...because thats what you are likely looking at.

2) His Dad...understanding of what it takes to be elite. As well as the means to get the kid the help he needs to hone his craft.

All signs point to MONSTER!

Watching some of his highlights, there's a lot where you're just like, "Eh, okay, another average highschool player..." but then there are some real gems in those highlights. Then add to the fact that you know the pedigree is there. I mean, what are the odds he breaks 6'6"? I'd say pretty damn good. His dad is over 7 feet tall. lol

The kid is raw no doubt, but he has the athletic ability to become a premier wide receiver. The game I got to watch was when his team played against JP II on the higlight video. I was impressed with his game. I just moved down here so I don't know how good JP II is, all I know is they were undefeated until that game when they met Corey Robinson.

I'll take his potential any day of the week. Sometimes it just takes a little longer. See: JPP

If the kid becomes good at one thing, red zone fades or toss ups, I am cool with it! He can spend 3 years on the bench learning if he has 2 years of awesome, extreme Americaness on the field!

Whats the odds with us being his first offer we land him? I am sure people don't know to much yet but I would think you pounce on that as a kid with no offers. IMO, when you are new to the game, he probably doesn't have a dream team.

i'd be surprised if he didn't grow another inch or two after reading around a bit.

In all honesty, being 6-6 or 6-7, what are the odds that this kid grows into a TE? With all of the success of basketball guys moving to TE, I don't think it is unreasonable that a guy with this athletic ability and pedigree grows into a TE body.

Iowa offered today.

I think coaches sometimes wait to see what schools offer a recruit before they themselves offer. I think ND made the right move here.
