Wants to try and visit in the Spring. BK told him on NSD he is one of our top targets on the D-line.

Previously had narrowed down his list to Alabama, Clemson, Florida State, Georgia and Georgia Tech, but:

“I want to make a decision either before next football season or during the football season,” Rochell said. “It all depends on how comfortable I am with everything at that point. I want to make sure I’ve seen all the schools that interest me, like Notre Dame and Oklahoma, before I go on and make a decision.”

Seems like there are so many recruits with "Isaac" somewhere in their name. Hope he actually makes it up for an OV, can never have too many stud DE's with this kind of offer sheet.

Yeah, I'm guessing cost is the issue. He's going to Vandy on the 24th instead of ND, and Nashville, TN is only 4-5 hours drive from the Atlanta area, unlike South Bend, IN. Probably figures he may as well wait for the paid trip.

That's not necessarily a bad sign, but I don't want to get carried away and say we are definitely in his top 5, either. I guess this is probably more about efficient use of financial resources than an indication of interest.

He is visiting Vandy because his teammate Keyante Green (UCLA verbal) is. Green was suppose to come to ND on the 24th as well but since he isn't anymore Rochell likely didn't have a ride.

My friend saw him at lunch with his family as well with at least two football coaches, the head academic advisor for athletes (my friends an athlete so he knows the guy), two other academic minded/guidence people, and a professor.

Is this really happening? Could elite athletes, especially from the South, be starting to see the perfection at ND that we all do?

This is excellent news. If we could establish even a sliver of a pipeline to Georgia, we're golden. That state is LOADED with talent every year, especially this one.

If we land Rochell, let's hope it's only the beginning.

I should probably temper my enthusiasm but sorry, can't help but get excited when you hear this stuff.
