Prayers go out to the family! May her soul rest with God!

On a light note, I read somewhere that Neal eliminated tOSU. Is down to Arizona, Arkansas, Notre Dame, and North Carolina.

Always sad when a young person dies they never get to have a chance to live. Thoughts and prayers are with the Neal family.

My heart and prayers go out to his family during this difficult time...A parent should never have to bury his/her children...

Very sorry that so many families have to suffer tragedies like this, I only hope that we all find perspective and remember the things that are truly important in life.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Davonte and his family at this most difficult time. I realize recruiting news is secondary to our thoughts for Davonte and his family right now, as the previous posts point out. Here is an update from Inside the Irish. Irish still in the running for Davonte Neal | Inside the Irish

This sounds good from the father:

“You can’t go wrong with a school like Notre Dame academically. They graduate 98-percent of the players and it’s an opportunity to play on national television every week. The alumni base is strong and there’s coaching stability there. He’d have the opportunity to play right away and he loved the visit.”

With Ohio State and Oklahoma out, ND is looking pretty good at this point.

Glad to hear that they still really like ND

FWIW: JC Shurburtt is saying he believes Neal goes to ND with Diggs going to Maryland.

That would make me smile ear-to-ear. Kelly gets a stud and Meyer doesn't. A rare perfect situation right there.

that is the absolute perfect ending to this situation...however, i don't see it coming to be. urban has seemed to get what he wanted throughout the recruiting season and i don't see him striking out here either, though i truly hope that i'm wrong.

I don't mean to sound uninformed but....what position would Neal play? Is he a lock for the slot?

Urban isn't getting Neal because Luke Neal said they eliminated OSU as it's not a good fit and Oklahoma because they entered the race too late.

Diggs on the other hand, from what I have read really likes Maryland but also watch out for UF. According to Laura McKeeman of Scout, she thinks Diggs really wants to play in the SEC but wouldn't be surprised if he went to Maryland.

Proabably slot but he also has the ability to play DB and has welcomed the idea of being a two way player. Not to mention he would be the #1 PR by just signing his name.

Remember what I said a few weeks ago, the Mike Locksley hire was a brilliant move by Edsell. He will not let many kids leave the DC/Maryland area. The guy can just straight up recruit. Landing Diggs would be a major feather in his cap considering how late in the game it was before he was hired.

BTW, his contract has specific recruiting goals, so we know he was pretty much brought in for one thing only.

Ok so I was listening to ESPN recruiting radio and they stated that they thought Neal was going to OSU. That seems way off base from what I have read, but then again it is ESPN recruiting. This was updated as of yesterday. Sorry I do not know how to link.

As has been stated, OSU has been eliminated and that came straight from Luke Neal himself.

According to Jason Sapp of BlueandGold.com, Neal is no longer considering Ohio State or Oklahoma. “Oklahoma came in too late and Ohio State isn’t a good fit,” Luke Neal told Sapp.

Why would you willingly subject yourself to such a thing?
