Like BK said why would you be mad about losing something you never had or had the chance to coach. Looks like Les has a similar attitude to many of the people on this board. I like how Les justifies Gunner not coming by saying they got a quarterback with a bigger chest and can lead a team. I would take the 2nd ranked quarterback over the 12th ranked quarterback. Yes, Jeremy Liggins quite literally has a bigger chest, anyone who is 6'3" and 270 pounds has a bigger chest than someone who is 6'3" and 215 pounds. Liggins reminds me of Jamarcus Russell and Marcus Randall. I don't see him being as effective as those two, though

Actually Miles was mild compared to Lou Holtz almost 20 years ago when the top kicker, Scott Bentley, spurned ND for FSU. ''Son, you didn't just make a four-year mistake, you made a 40-year mistake. You let me down and you let your father down."

That's where the expression "a 40 year mistake" came from. An expression several of you used in posts this year about prospects that spurned ND for another school.


Miles like Holtz were both understandably disappointed and upset but both would have been better served by NOT commenting on the one that got away.
