Mark Dantonio interrupts Michigan recruiting coordinator during speech to high school

This thread is making my head hurt.

Fact: Michigan won outright. It was a good, quality win, in my opinion. I was happy to see the Hokies lose. Of both teams present, Michigan deserved the honor more and should have played BSU. The Broncos would have made them miserable.

Fact: Dantonio punked Michigan's assistant, and he stood there in awe of how he was dealt with. Of course Michigan fans will talk about who they know that didn't appreciate his tact and disrespectful stance. The real competitive coaches in the room will appreciate what he did there, as no one else in the room had the balls to speak up and interrupt: where was the meeting facilitator?

Fact: Michigan has beat ND three years in a row.

Fact: Time is ticking until this season. We will have a tough road ahead with Michigan: as their QB isn't cut out for the NFL, but his intangible speed makes him a threat to make it 4 in a row.

Fact: This is a Notre Dame board. Our opinions are valued much more than some skunk bear's.

Fact: We and Wisconsin were Michigan State's only losses this year.

Wolverine1997, is there a reason you don't capitalize "dantoino" or "ohio"? It really irks me, and I'm sure it bugs the other people on this board who appreciate proper grammar.

You're funny Beau, you talked about a Michigan fan and proper grammar in the same sentence.

First, I despise UM (but not as much as Ohio State). However...

Second, I give Wolvie credit for coming here and being a fairly decent guy and not a shameless provocative troll flamer like some OSU guys we've gotten here lately, yet

Third, I think Dantonio was right in objecting to the Mich coach, who no doubt wanted to blow long and hard forever with the same psuedo-elitist attitude that most Michigan people have (one that, eg, drips with scorn for Mich State, the poor "little brother," to give one example), though

Fourth, yes, I would rather have lucky wins than unlucky losses, but it wouldn't change the fact that the lucky wins were lucky wins, and UM was lucky as hell vs ND and VTech, to name two, and

Fifth, I wouldn't brag too long and hard about lucky wins because they aren't indicative of quality, which is the only thing worth bragging about, if you are going to brag about anything.

Walmart don't sell grammar. Only Michigan jerseys.

And Cheetos.

And Michigan fans aren't taught grammar...they are taught how to use a deep fryer and flip hamburgers.

I think highly of Coach Dantonio...he was spot on in what he did.

I think that the funniest thing to be gathered from this thread is that Michigan fans think dropping the "state" from Ohio State is somehow an insult.

My Michigan fan friend was livid over this and it was probably the most amusing moment of my weekend.

Once in a while, you find a realistic michigan fan who isn't a douche. They are a rarity, to be sure.

I know several high school coaches in the state of Michigan who were there and they told me they and many other coaches who they were talking with have lost some respect for dantonio.

This is where the little brother designation we give them really is true. Whenever something isn't going their way or they don't like something that big brother does or says, they throw a hissy fit or cry.

Who knows why he did it. Maybe he checked their recruiting class rank on rivals and got mad.

You could always refuse to play them for several decades......

Can we get back to the topic of the thread?

You mean the one where the UM assistant coach was droning on and on and Coach Dantonio stepped in and took the floor back so that it could be given to others who had attended the meeting as well?

FWIW, it is not like Dantonio took the floor back and kept it for himself. If he had done that, then it may have been a d-bag move. But, he did not. He basically stopped the guy, said there were others there that had turns to speak and passed the floor on to the next guy.
