I'm no grassologist but this stuff sounds sweet! Anything named GrassMaster has gotta be worth the coin. It gets my seal of approval.

BTW... I've heard that NDOM is a grass expert. Waiting to see if he'll endorse this stuff.

I am the grass KING! I do NOT endorse this stuff if this is what we are getting. This stuff has the same problems as what we are experiences with our turf now. GET 100% turf not this hybrid synthetic bull crap.

So I guess the question now is (and has been debated before) what will the surface look like. Do they keep the traditional 'nothing' and white lines, or spice it up a bit. Will be interesting!

I doubt they'll try anything fancy like a painted field. This hybrid surface is a nice compromise because it's 97% natural grass, so the traditionalists get the same look, smell, and feel. If I were in Swarbrick's position, I would just get the field in for a season or two until the "Harrumph... fullbacks!" crowd gets used to it. Then I'd consider "spicing it up a bit".

Maybe I was just blinded by the fancy talk on the website but I thought it sounded pretty good.

Made you look.

Michigan State announced plans for $10 million worth of stadium renovations that are expected to be done by August in plenty of time for when the Irish come to town in September.

The focal point will be a massive video screen in the south end zone. According to a team Twitter account the new screen will have an area of 5,300 square feet, which means its bigger than a regulation-sized basketball court that will tower 130 feet off the ground. The new screen will give Michigan State 13,500 square feet of jumbotron inside of its stadium

Poor MSU, always competing with their big brother Michigan. Getting an obnoxiously large video screen? Little man syndrome much?
