Luginbill is a douche, he said something along the lines of newsflash to the Kiel's no matter where you go there will be alot of competition. That was one of Kiel's bigger concerns but definitely not the most important. Distance played a huge part but of course Luginbill makes it sound like he was scared of competition.

Exactly, ESPN has a vested interest in seeing the SEC dominate. So they are always going to spin the story when top-recruits spurn the SEC. It's sickening that every day it seems more and more, that ESPN is a fair mix between TMZ and Fox News. NBC Sports' 24 hour channel can not come any faster.

They do the same thing with the nba, a league that loses market shares to hockey in 6 of 12 common markets and loses the attendance battle to the mls... But they have a bigger contract with basketball.... So....

Totally understand what you're saying. But he does such because he works for ESPN and he knows on name alone he can be taken at his every word for a lot of sports fans. The ones who don't see the BS ESPN produces. The ones whose argument in favor of ESPN would be something like, "but they are the worldwide leader in sports".

All the big name kids never see a lick of time when they commit, when it hits mid day ESPN and has two segments it's a done deal.....

Not a huge loss for LSU because they have Metzberger. Perfect fit for ND.

That Kiel was good depth for LSU. Also Kiel understands Kelly's system and provides high upside. And that ND has young talent at all psoitions but QB.
