There's a premium Armstead update on ISD. Tried posting link but I keep getting internal errors.

Lax is definitely Wheeler. Suspect I'm probably Ma-Ti. Lame.

The fact that he's talking to an Irish writer is always good news. They want to play together, and the fact that Armond can't play at Oregon or Cal is great news. The fact that he is still visiting Auburn, and Arik's interest in Auburn is legit, and nobody knows if he's eligible at Auburn or not (for every tweet saying he isn't eligible, I can show one that says he is LOL), makes me nervous that Auburn might be where they end up, which isn't a bad landing spot for either of them (remember, at 18, hotties go a long way). Hope he ends up Irish of course...

So it's either Auburn or ND if they want to play together. I like our chances. I just don't think a kid from California will feel at home their. We will see though. I feel pretty good about our chances.

I think basketball is playing a bigger role than I thought. Notre Dame's basketball team is better than any other school he is considering.

I just looked them up. He would definitely get major playing time if not start from day 1 there.

I highly doubt he'd start on the basketball team his first day at school (Auburn has a game the 17th, lol).

They're 10-6, ND is 11-6. But they've beaten virtually no one. Not that ND really has either, but just saying.

I think he would at Notre Dame too. They are desperate for a true big man

Your not a fan of Jack Cooley? ;)

Armstead actually has a nice shot. Brey told him he would be like Harangody and I could definitely see that type of role if he keeps his wait down.

Did the win at top 10 Louisville slip your mind? ;) just messing with you. Louisville got creamed by providence earlier this week.

I know they want to play together but are not a definite packaged deal. Just wondering if that is something that Arim reiterated in the premium article?

Isn't Dad on our side? I think they are sightseeing and both end up wearing gold helmets.

Why would they sightsee in Auburn, Alabama? I think they have legit interest but I think we get them due to basketball and our better relationship with Arik.

Been saying this for months now, glad people are starting to catch on :)

Grab a couple beers and relax because no one knows what's going to happen here. There are scenarios where it could be any of the 3 schools for Arik.

We'll know in 72 hours.

Is this about the SEC Masoli Rule? IF so, bigedefense posted about a conversation he had with a MS St coach he knows. It's in the "Who is likely next" thread:

http://www.irishenvy.com/forums/notre-dame-football-recruiting/59085-who-likely-next.html#post634555

I called my coaching buddy as MS State and asked him about the Masoli rule and when it takes effect. According to him, this season was the last that a player could transfer in with only one year remaining. He referenced their linebacker that came this year as the last official player that got in before the rule took effect. I asked him if Auburn could get the Armstead guy from usc and his response was, no. According to him, sec commish sent a reminder e-mail last week that no players could enroll unless they had two or more seasons of eligibility remaining. Now, we all know that the sec changes rules as they see fit, but hopefully this rule will help steer the Armsteads away from that school. ...

Football: Armstead announcement likely Monday; visiting Auburn, but has he already picked Cal? - BearTalk -

Arik Armstead is visiting Auburn this weekend, according to multiple sources, but his former coach at Pleasant Grove HS in Elk Grove believes it’s possible the 6-foot-8, 275-pound lineman has already made his decision.

“I don’t know if that’s true or not, but when I was talking to him last weekend it sure sounded to me like he was planning to go to Cal,” Pleasant Grove coach Joe Cattolico told me by phone this morning. “I can’t confirm it but basically what they were saying last weekend was he was going to announce maybe Monday and start at Cal next week.”

This coach was with his family at all-star game. Sucky.
