He may just be visting Auburn "4 teh lulz" (as they say), so he doesn't want to cut his pleasure cruise short.
I'm not in the know or hip enough to really understand what that means.

Wouldn't AU and ND be OVs, thus free visits?

I'm not sure how visits are handled for 5th year transfers. That would make a bit more sense.
3rd round I do believe
3rd round I do believe

I believe this was after his junior season, but I could be wrong.
Wasn't that for the 2011 draft though?
I thought I saw he just recently got a draft grade. But I could be mistaken.

Why?
Recruits get 5 Official Visits to help them make their college decision the year that they're being recruited which was 2007 for Armond. Those are use 'em or lose 'em Officials. I've never heard of them being "bankable" for a rainy day 4 or 5 years down the road.
Never said they were "bankable," but there appears to be some confusion over whether or not a graduate transfer gets to visit a school on its dime or not.
I've been trying to post since 10:30 AM but IE stopped working on my Droid... gives me an error and force closes every time I try to type a post.
Looks like a lot of the info has been corrected now. Heard it from the horses mouth that Arik has filed all his paperwork to EE for ND and that we're in the same exact position we were in a couple days ago with Arik. I can also say that at this point in time, and this is all very apt to change if he loves his OV, Auburn trails Cal and ND by an awful lot for Arik. I also heard that even if Armond wants to go to Auburn that Arik is going to make his own decision and they aren't a package.
As for news reported from 3rd party sources, Armond is still cleared to go to ND, but Auburn is also now apparently an option (it seems to follow what Whiskey posted a couple pages ago about the Masoli rule not being in effect yet). We'll have to see how his visits go...
Last thing on Arik... people think he's a Cal lean because his "bros" go there (i.e. Bryce Treggs and Shaq Thompson) but you have to realize with the Nor Cal boys Tee and Deontay going to ND along with Amir Carlisle it's really a moot point. Then you also have to realize distance doesn't play as much of a factor for him as it did for guys like Shaq... just look at how he considered Auburn, Texas, ND, and Oregon in addition to Cal as his top 5. He wants to go where he's the best fit and most comfortable. ND might still be that without Armond. Or it could be Cal. Or it could be Auburn. Just got to wait and see... and pray a bunch
PS. Who else realllllllllly wishes we had gone all in on Marcus Rios right now? Sigh.
