I think what most people here are forgetting is that it is MLK Day on Monday and almost every school is out that day.

if i were a betting man, my guess is that it's going to go down almost exactly like this.

way too late to come to ND with those travel plans imo. he's got everything set to go to Cal it seems.

Unless it's just a ploy on his part and he already has his airline ticket to come east and is scheduled to fly out birght an early Monday morning. :) Wishful thinking I guess. I too think that it's going to be Cal.

I think the reality of the story is that regardless what the rule specifics are, if Armond was going to be transferring to ND he would be visiting South Bend this weekend, not Auburn or anywhere else. Since he is not then that puts our chances for Arik at very very slim.

@jcshurburtt Sir, there seems to be conflicting rumors about the older Armstead brother, is he eligible to play at Auburn right away?

JC Shurburtt JC Shurburtt @jcshurburtt

@Grahambo86 I don't know at this point.

So even he doesn't know.

Has anyone heard anything about why Armond is not visiting ND this weekend? If i had to guess I would say maybe our doctors did not clear him.

"Armstead has already visited Notre Dame, Alabama, Oregon and California. He will be joined by his father, Guss, and brother, Armond, who is planning to transfer from USC for his final season. His father and brother will stay though Saturday before going on a quick visit to Notre Dame." Per 247sports

Has this information changed?

I'm not sure if he means they are staying through saturday and leaving sunday, or if they are leaving saturday. No details on the length of the visit either. But a visit is a visit.

Yeah, I was just trying to figure out what the writer meant. Arik was already on an official to ND and I would assume his dad was with him then too. Arik already has all he needs for ND and maybe just wants Armond to go lay eyes on the campus.

Nobody really seems to know if Armond can come in and play right away are not. I've read from people here that he could or could not then I tweeted to JC Shurbutt is he knew and he wasn't sure either.

Who knows, but the article also says that Arik will be at Auburn "until Sunday."

Yeah but that could mean his flight leaves at 0600 Sunday morning so technically, yes, he is staying in Auburn until then.

I know, I just think that the author of the article is a little sadistic and is doing this to us ND fans on purpose. :)

Maybe I'm just getting my hopes up, but why would someone write this if it wasn't true. It serves no purpose. IMO, Arik has had the visit set up and wants to see the campus. Auburn has been a school in the mix for awhile, but I don't believe they're a true player. The fact that it's being reported that Armond and his dad are heading to ND after meeting Arik just makes it seem they're going to hang out and before making things official for Armond. Que Arik's decision once Armond is enrolled. Bazinga!!

Then again, didn't the writers in South Carolina spread false information about Chris Brown? It's a crazy world we live in. At least we don't have to wait much longer.
