Not confusing at all. Kids want to play tor a team that wins. Not teams that lose bullshit games... usf,Michigan,fl. St,... I love nd as much as anyone on this board but we are going to.miss out on a lot of the elite players because elite players want to play for elite teams...

I do think were are working our way back up but until then, be prepared to miss out on a few.

Wow thanks for that refreshing insight. That totally addressed what I was talking about and cleared everything up for me.

Ummm how long have you following recruiting? Recruits have thousands of reasons for why they go to a program. Your view is sadly overly simplistic.

Oh that's why all those players are going to Cal this year cause they went an impressive 7-6. And that's why Clemson had a top ten class last year coming off that "winning" 6-7 year. Like the past few guys have said, elite players choose schools for a lot of reasons. Losing bullshit games doesn't help, but that reason alone is not going to detour any elite players from coming to ND.

Sorry I don't have the professional (pick your recruiting service) opinion.

The problem was you completely missed the point. What's confusing is the amount of miss-reported information this year that changes on a daily basis... not that ND wouldn't land certain elite prospects. The latter is to be expected.

Gunner Kiel was supposedly going to commit to ND on "Thursday/Friday" per multiple people, and they just turned out to be flat wrong.

Michigan mods reported Yuri would not be making the visit to Michigan, then within 24 hours he's visiting with his coach.

Armond's choices were reported to be ND or NFL... then within 24 hours he's visiting Auburn instead and that seems to be his only viable transfer destination.

Westerkamp was reported to be just about a stone cold lock to flip to ND from every mod out there... and then decided to inexplicably stay a Cornhusker.

more evidence that the "premium" "pay for info" sites are a joke.
i think going forward well get more )and more reliable to an extent) info from twitter-facebook and the like than the pay services.

i think the only guy "worth the scrip" these days as relates to ND is Sapp over at 247. with wiltfong a distant second.

How do you sell more subscriptions? Have more, and better information. How do you get that, or does it even exist? The point is though the need to increase sales is at an all time high, it seems as though the quality information remains constant. . . . Let alone the recruits that get so tired of the grind that the play these media guys for a little relief.

That is the loss of a star and a small deop in his point rating. he still is considered to be a fine player with that grade.

Before he even played the game they said he was going to drop some because he didn't have the top end speed to be the #1 corner in this class.

Still would be pumped to land this kid. Let's go boys!

Right now he is ranked the #4 corner and #49 overall on 247. I'd say that is right. He has as much potential as anyone but just isn't polished enlighten to be rated the number one corner in the country.

247 is reporting that Michigan is off because UM is going balls-to-the-wall for Reeves. This bodes VERY well for us landing Wright!

Great news. I was always more worried about scUM than Cal.

I agree, I think he would have popped with the others at the all star game if he was def Cal

Yah, it looks like he's going just for kicks.

It's worth noting that Cal gets very few recruits from beyond Pac-12 country. Of their 18 current commits, 13 are from CA, and only 2 are from outside the Pac-12.

Disagree.

I think Cal is a long shot but I don't think he picks Cal at the all-star game if he is going to pick Cal. He would most likely take an OV and talk to the Cal coaches before committing.
