I agree with you, but you can't tell me you would be pleased if your kid picked USC or Michigan. Yes you would support them, but you wouldn't be too happy.

I would'nt be happy but I also would'nt show my emotions on national television. She is a grown woman and she acted like a little kid.

Again you're correct. You can definately tell shes a lifelong hardcore LSU fan though lol. I didn't like how ESPN proceeded to ask her about her sons commitment either.

And then she said "go tigers". What the hell? I hope Bama destroys LSU

Though not a parent myself, I do know one of the biggest jobs of being a parent is to put my child's needs above my own. Just because I AM a Notre Dame fan does not mean my child has to be or needs to be. If my child is able to play football at Alabama or LSU, I'll be damned if I'll share MY utter disappointment at him picking Alabama over LSU. It's about the child...NOT THE PARENT.

P.S. If I had been boozin' one night, I might (repeat- MIGHT. Ok, hell, I probably would) try to sex his mom up!

But she has to support her son. He just made a life changing decision and she is gonna b*tch and moan about his decision? Thats not what a parent should do. They support their child whatever path they take. I wish you the best of luck Landon.

He chose a college, he didn't win a f'in Nobel Prize. In how many living rooms across the country do you think that kids tell their parents, "I'm thinking of applying at "X", and the parents tell them "Absolutely NOT!"? So if your kid was a crackhead, you should support the kid, not tell him to clean his act up?

The only reason she wanted him to go to LSU was because it was close to home. Alabama might not be Notre Dame but it isn't a terrible school. She acted like a little to America and she should be ashamed of herself.

This just in.....

My sources tell me that there will be a major announcement, before the night is out, about a major recruitment!

I've got a guy in Florida. He's incredibly wired in to certain recruiting circles. He guarantees me that not only will there be big news tonight, but also look for even more news to come out, on Feb. 4.

Thinking the guy in Floriday is sliding down the reliability scale... starting to agree with Sacktown Andy

To be fair to her she might have to return the new car she received from LSU

Bad analogy aside, its probably the kid's biggest moment in his life. He's committing to a place that can get him a college education and the opportunity to pursue football at the next level.

Just because a parent doesn't like the groom/bride doesn't mean you jump up at your toast and inform everyone of your preference for the ex.

Ok.....so it wasn't quite as obvious as I had hoped for. My "guy in Florida", who told me about "a major announcement" to come in the middle of a High School All-Star game, was a (as it turns out) little too vague reference to Epitome, who was known for claiming to have inside information and predicting incredibly obvious events. For Christ's sake............. NO ONE got it?

She was asked a question, and she answered it.........truthfully. I'm sure she is just as proud of her son as you would expect any parent in the same situation to be. I thought it was pretty obvious that the choice came as a surprise to her. She reacted visibly to a complete surprise (apparently). I highly doubt that it was a premeditated attempt to upstage her son.

Reps. That's what good parents are supposed to do. If I had told my parents I wanted to go to, say, Florida State to have fun in the sun... they would've said "no" and that would've been the end of it.

But she didn't have to wave the LSU gloves back and forth and she didn't have to yell "go tigers". Uncalled for

Tough $hit. If it were me, I would certainly proclaim my love of ND. And I would be celebrated on this board. "Well, we didn't get the Moose kid. But did you see his dad sportin' the Irish swag? Sweet!!!"
