Since Notre Dame is only after the truly elite guys (outside of Westerkamp) at this point, I say take them all and refuse the 5th-year guys.

only two we should keep are Cave and Slaughter. Time to move forward with swag and balls
I think that without a real probability for a successful year next year because of difficulty of the schedule we should not take as many fifth years in this cycle.
Where is the latest breakdown of number of available scholarships not counting 5th year guys? I looked and couldn't find it.
Counting Badger, the magic number is 26.
Cave, Slaughter, and KLM are locks to return. Cwynar is on the bubble. Golic Jr. probably isn't getting asked back.
26- 3 or 4 5Ys = 22 or 23 in the 2012 class.
We're at 17 now, so we can take 5 or 6 more tops.
If no Golic Jr., who's gonna be the other C in the two-deep?
Not that he will make the 2 deep but Harrell said he will be a center at ND.
hegarty's been working there and then heggie if all else fails.
I thought Heggie was going to be the starting quarterback next year?

Is this kid a lock...because we are talking about it like it is...just wondering.
Since Coach made the distinction between his guys and Weis' guys, he should take as many recruits as he can and not allow but a few 5th years. That'll help get rid of the issue quicker. Whoever wants to commit to ND, let 'em in.

Some position switches at the East walk through today. Elijah Shumate with the LBs.
Why are people assuming he is gonna commit?
My bad you are right! I didn't listen, I didn't listen!Who was that thinking he couldn't play in the box? I told you. I told you. But did you listen? Nooo...

Just a harmless little safety, isn't it?
