'12 NJ S Elijah Shumate (Notre Dame Signed LOI)

If Shumate decides to come to ND, I think that he will end up playing a role similar to what we saw Slaughter play this season. He will be used as a linebacker in some of the games and I really think Shumate will excel at this as well as being a very good safety for us. Hope he goes Irish.

The value of getting a solid pipeline to Bosco cannot be understated. Not to say getting these two young men is secondary to that, it's not, but big picture this is a great move for the staff.

Shumate, Yuri, Westerkamp..I think there is a few more. I think that just means not as many 5th year seniors will be brought back and still don't know what Eifert is doing.
