I hope he will not be deterred by how many Wr. we are recruiting in the class. I know some kids rather go to schools to be the #1 in the class at said position because of competition i just hope thats not the case with Jordan. He's going to be a good one.

BGI was told that he could be leaning towards sticking with his NU committment at this time but no final decision has been made.

What other receiver targets can that staff look at? i know there is Anglor & Neal. What's the stroy with Payton?

I don't believe for a second that he has made a decision or that this "leaning" comment is worth any attention. His situation reminds me completely of when Bennett Okotcha said he was "60/40" Irish after he got his Oklahoma offer.

Someome in Jordan's situation would have to be incredibly in love with Pelini to choose option attack Nebraska over pass first, closer to home, much better education, parents are a fan Notre Dame. I think you will see a decision in the next 10 days and if I were a betting man I'd bet on Notre Dame.

To add off of what Whiskey said, I think we all have seen clearly by now that the staff simply does not recruit with a particular position in mind for the most part, so it is kind of pointless for us to project and pidgeon hole prospects and the numbers game based on that. They honestly do just recruit certain types (Skill, Big Skill, etc) and then see where they fit best once on campus. It's why we see OL and DL switching once here, and ditto for DBs, WRs, and RBs. If the kid is an ND kid with skill, just get him on campus and he will be put in a position to succeed. Russell is a player like that - don't really care where he is projected right now, just want him to be Irish and then BK and co. will figure it out.

According to 247 reporter Justin Hopkins strongly believes that Westerkamp will flip to ND. This is based on info. Westerkamp will decide soon after the Semper Fi AA game.

If true we are filling up. Hopefully Shumate, Yuri, Fuller, Neal, Agholor, Cox, Garnett, Payton, and Armstead make their decisions soon too.

I hope this is true. We need some good news to help us recover from yesterday. If Greenberry stays and we add Westerkamp and Neal to the class, this will be a dengerous group of receivers for the next few years.

imo agholor, cox, payton, and armstead are definitely not coming to ND

Pretty sure Shumate is deciding at the AA game? I believe Fuller was interested in deciding around that time as well.

This flip seems like a "no brainer".

1) His parents love ND.
2) He is from IL (ND closer to home).
3) He also has the opportunity to compete for early playing time.

He would be a great addition to this class and after watching how bad we looked with Floyd out of the game, a BIG need!

Hope this happens.

Just talked to Jordan Westerkamp. Decision after he gets back from #semperfibowl between ND and Neb. Says still a Neb commit as of right now
