SC actually does have a really good international business program as stated above but it is more of a graduate degree thing so if a recruit likes international business they should do what my dad did, go to ND undergrad and then SC if football doesn't pan out for them at ND.

When Elijah walks into an international corporations headquarters for an interview and he lays his resume down on the table, would he have a better chance of getting hired having ND on that resume or South Carolina?

I'm saying going to ND undergrad (#1 undergrad business)AND having the SC international business diploma (#1 international business).

So to answer your question, both.

Why do they hold Purdue in such high regard? lol Great Engineering programs, but...it's just Purdue, Indiana's ugly sister.

Granted Purdue is a good academic school and can provide someone with many opportunities. Hey, I couldn't get in there. lol School work and I really don't get along...

Yeah, funny enough to punch a bitch. Not that I would.. anymore.

If we have one of his family member's on ND's side, and they know what's the real deal, then I have no worries. I am really excited about the prospect of him signing that LOI to ND.

LOL, WUT?

I agree that lots of schools have lots to offer, but no need to walk on eggshells. Notre Dame offers a very prestigious degree. Only Stanford, Duke, and maybe Northwestern are more prestigious in the BCS! Some other schools, like Vanderbilt, Berkeley, UVA, Michigan, Wake Forest, etc., offer comparable degrees.

But South Carolina? Like his dad said, that's a no-brainer.

Just like with football recruiting, look where the top students are fighting to get in, and where the top professors try to land.

More prestigious? In the BCS, only Stanford is more prestigious. Duke is close behind us, but Northwestern is not.

Some other schools, like Vanderbilt, Berkeley, UVA, Michigan, Wake Forest, etc., offer comparable degrees.

What's your definition of "comparable"? Of those you mentioned, only Cal is within 10% of ND for degree value. The rest are inferior by 50% or more.

I said it earlier and I stand by it that the performance of the secondary in the game will inspire these DBs to want to come here. It is obvious that they will get a shot at playing early.

the ESPN announcer even mentioned Tee and the fact that fast Corners and DBs will push this defense to the next level. I remain optimistic.

agreed...if you're a DB coming in you have to feel EXTREMELY confident in your chances of coming in and possibly starting and especially playing right away.

I could see Shumate being similar to Jamoris in the things he could do for us except Shumate could be even better as the overhang OLB.

locking down some more quality/stud DBs should be our #1 priority.. our constantly get exposed and they won't be here next year.. which I guess means maybe locking down a guy who can coach DBs would be a rather large priority as well, lol

I would love to play behind those guys, given that the coaches call some blitzes so we can get some pressure on the QB so they can't just sit back there and pick us apart (ala the 2nd half of the atrocity we witnessed this night).. I can't wait to get these DBs in here who are hungry and competing for a job unlike this year where no matter how poorly someone played (GARY GRAY) he kept his job.. would love to bring Elijah onboard, maybe throw in a Wright, and watch these guys compete for some PT along with the other recruits.. going to be an exciting defense in years to come, given that the play calling gives them opportunities to be successful

Our DB coaches are fine. If you haven't seen improvement in all parts of the D, you're crazy. Our ability to stop the run has had a lot to do with our DBs being more aggressive and flying to the ball.

What I've heard is that he is very physical in the box.

Sorry I'm super late on this but...

Shumate is like Slaughter but just bigger. Slaughter is 6'0" 198 while Shumate is already 6'1" 205 and probably ends up at around 220. Shumate reminds me of Adrian Wilson Because he is big and excels in run support.

We better get him and another, because after reading the Scout article on Tee I have little faith that Tee is Irish come Feb. Really hope I am wrong, he and DG are difference makers and Lane IMO just scooped them.

After watching our offensive performance, I can understand it.

What about the article makes you less confident?I can't read it I know you can't post prem. info, but give us some crumbs.

No ND source has posted anything about him wavering. When a site puts up a article on him most likely tomorrow one of us will report what it says as always.

He said at the semper fi bowl that he is going to pull the hat on Feb 1st and it is either or. USC or ND. And he isn't talking anymore until he pulls the hat.
