I hope that GBD is right. We needed another running back this class anyway. We need another stud since we lost out on Gunner. I can remember the time when you could take someones word but those days are long gone believe nothing you hear and only half of what you see.

From everything I've read I would be more surprised if he chose Washington over Notre Dame. Just the little hints and comments made over the past couple of months from him, other recruits and insiders.

I think Mahone has a better chance at seeing the field than Russell. Cierre Wood will obviously be the starter and GA3 looked good as a freshman. If Cam Roberson can't come through then I would expect Mahone to be the 3rd running back. In my opinion, Russell should be at slot.

Cierre is going to be our every down back next year, Riddick will likely be our 3rd down back... and a darn good one at that.

Russel is great because he is an ATH. Could satisfy a need in the slot OR at RB. No one knows where he will end up.

The decision was based on many factors, including the school's academic reputation and the ability to play right away. He also wanted a school that would look into taking advantage of his skills at receiver.

1) He has been talking with Mahone over the last 2-3 weeks, which would be bizarre if he was announcing for UW.
2) Academics favor ND
3) We offer just as good of an opportunity to play right away as UW, especially considering how we use multiple rb's and a variety of slot recievers.
4) He wants his talents utilized at wr? Who does that better? UW or ND.

I like our chances.

I like our chances as well, but UW people could also argue that this comment could imply he is staying home.
"It's a big thing for me," Russell said. "It's a big thing for the community and all of the people that supported me."

I think it's drawing straws trying to come up with any conclusive evidence either way from this article. UWs depth chart isn't going to scare anybody off either. Most of what he said could be analyzed differently by each side involved. Guess we find out today, but fingers crossed he is Irish. Kid is talented, and it is flat out impossible to ever have too much talent on your team.

EE? and if not, how many slots can ND fill if they cant get anymore EE? Or does that not matter the slots are the same, it just effects the year it counts.

is there any rumblings about what washington blogs are saying? if there are any washington blogs.

usually we get some feedback from the other fan bases, but keivarae's been pretty quiet along the home front.
