never trust the enemy

From everything I have read in interviews post visit, and from several comments Yuri himself has made on twitter...I would tend to agree with the enemy on this one. Yuri has always liked ND, but for some reason we werent recruiting him as hard as other schools. It seemed like he was always looking for a reason to keep us in contention and just waiting for the staff to show him the full court press. I'd put our chances at landing him over 50% after the latest visit, and those could increase further with a good visit this weekend.

i agree, but he's as die hard/stupid as the rest of us so he usually gets some pretty good info.

gonna be an interesting weekend visit nonetheless.

i hope so...he just doesn't fit the typical ND mold of a player...but here is hoping he chooses ND..

what do you mean? diaco likes big physical corners and he seems to fit the bill on both ends.

wondering why georgia has cooled on him, he seemed to really like them for awhile.

would love to finish this cycle with yuri and marcus...would be some nice depth added to the secondary. guess i can't forget about shumate either since he's visiting this weekend. it'll be interesting to get the full scoop from marcus on how things are shaking down.

plus it wouldn't be bad to open that pipeline to don bosco with the studs they have/got coming up.

my head is spinning with our db recruit situation. Rios,wright,shumate,shaq,poole,adams,cox? Not sure if I am missing anyone and I know a few of those are a LONG shot, but how many of the 7 remaining scholarships do we give to DB's? Rios looks imminent and Shumate is visiting this weekend. What do you think happens here?

Rios is a bit interesting but I have been reading they are happy with everyone left on the board. Whoever commits first gets it.

As for Safety I am not sure if they have a preference but I assuyme Shumate is higher than Cox in the staffs eyes. Mostly because Cox seems like a back up offer

I no doubt now think that with the Rios offer and commitment pending, Yuri (if he loves his visit) may have to make a quick decision if he wants a spot.

I mean, certainly we can't take Rios, Yuri, AND Shumate in addition to what we already have.

I was under the assumption that it's one more for the secondary haul. As it stands right now there's 6 in the secondary including Badger.

i can't see us passing on one of wright or shumate if they want to commit.

would be weird to bring them both in and they both want to commit and we tell one yes and one no...prolly one of our main selling points to have them play together.

We could potentially move Prosise to WR or Baratti to Dog OLB. If both Wright and Shumate want to come, I'm sure we'll have room for them.

I'm sure if they do commit, Coach will make the necessary position changes and get the guys in the right spots. He has shown he isn't scared to switch offensive players to defensive positions and vice-versa.
