Apparently is missing a math class to EE at Nebraska and the earliest he could enroll there would be March.

Can't help but wonder what classes he DID take for 4 years. Good grief, hope the kid is patient enough to stick out another half year of high school to get into the college of his choice rather than jeopardize a life altering decision based on 4 more months of high school.

He must not meet even the NCAA minimums if Nebraska is telling him he has to wait.

Wow. A good kid getting the short end because some "guidance counselor" failed him.

Well, this would only help ND in my opinion. He would have to wait to enroll either way and could take the required class to get into ND.

It could also hurt his chances with ND. The DB class might be filled up by that time, Yuri and Shumate might commit first.

Doubtful those two commit before very late January or even NSD. Yuri has 2 OVs scheduled for late January.

Couldn't he commit to ND and take the required classes next semester? That obviously eliminates the option to EE, but that's pretty much his only choice if he really wants to play at ND or Nebraska. If he does choose to go ahead w/ that route, then he could theoretically commit before Shumate and Wright. He doesn't have to meet the requirements to commit, just needs to meet them before enrolling. Correct?

He doesn't have an offer from ND yet.

"Unfortunately we have players on our board higher. Off the top of my head Yuri, Shumate, Manning, possibly Poole." - ShermSticky

Okay, so the last two are committed already.

Shumate would play a different position at either safety or runningback.

That (to me) leaves Yuri as the only possible guy that could be higher on our list.

Edit: ****. Forgot that quotes puts everything in italics...one sec. I'll get rid of them. There we go.

Your logic of taking Manning and Poole off the board doesn't make complete sense. Manning's coach stated the other day that he will make a final decision in mid January.

Not taking them off. They're just lower because our chances are much more slim. Yuri is the only non-committed cornerback who may be higher.

I would admire the staffs confidence to flip someone, but I'd rather they not depend on it.

We are both making the mistake in only counting Corners or secondary players ahead of Marcus. We should also be taking into account all players who have been offered and are still on the board. Since ND can only take around 7 more players.

Stanley, Garnett, Agholor, Payton, Spence, Reeves, Shumate, Yuri, Neal, etc.

I doubt that's how the staff sees it. Even with Shepard and Darby, we'll only have 6 CBs on scholarship next season. Regardless of the big names left on our board at other positions, I'm certain the staff wants at least one more CB.

One of which, is a converted CB in Bennett Jackson.

Right, but Oregon told him he was the #2 CB on their board so I was trying to justify that he could be just as high on ours. :)
