I will put our staff up against any in the nation on the recruiting front. These coaches are tireless workers and won't let another staff, especially our biggest rivals, pick our recruits away without a fight. I'm not worried just yet.

Agreed 100% this staff is relentless they just won't give up on a recruit or let any slip away even with guys we thought were out of the picture they are still keeping contact with them.

Hmmm, I guess it isn't premium info.

As reported last week on BlueandGold.com, Fresno, Calif., wide receiver commit Deontay Greenberry confirmed with me that he was set to take an official visit to USC this weekend and despite him telling me that his cousin, Irish cornerback commit Tee Shepard, was joining him, the early enrollee reported otherwise to me.

In the end, neither made the trip.

"I didn't go," the 6-3, 184-pound Washington Union High player just told me while I was checking in to see how the trip to USC went.

As long as Notre Dame stays on course to have Shepard on campus in January, the program should maintain their chances of having the 247Sports No. 4 wide receiver in the land join him in June.
